【A new work from the author of 'Astral Pet Store'!】

In chaotic times, seek survival; in prosperous times, seek fame.

Despite being weathered by the vicissitudes of life, the Great Yu Dynasty still found itself in an era of prosperity.

In the northwest, a young man travels nine thousand miles on foot, single-handedly slaying a great demon, striving for lifelong glory.

At Dragon Lake, an unparalleled master descends to the mortal world, founding a sect that will be remembered for centuries.

In the imperial capital, a sage preaches to thousands, his disciples spread across the provinces, leaving an eternal legacy.

And within a martial family estate in Qingzhou City,

A child spends his days idly, only playing chess, painting, fishing, and playing the lute.

Years later…

A sword rises, its dragon-like smoke stretches three thousand miles, and with one strike, nine cities are vanquished!

Among the myriad laws of the world, only I attain the Dao.

Ok, so I binged the whole thing in a day. That should tell you how enjoyable I found it.

My main praise for this novel is that the plot is not generic. The author consistently makes decisions that not only have I never seen other chinese novels make, but even I've never considered. This makes this novel very engaging, since being able to predict every faceslapping event for the next 200 chapters from chapter 3 gets tiring.

My main complaint for this novel is the mc, and even then it's only minor. Overall I really like his "Just smile and ignore the idiots" mentality, and we never really see him get angry or lash out, but sometimes things that are truly infuriating happen and yet he stays ambivalent. It's sometimes a bit annoying, but once again, it's a very minor complaint.

So yeah, overall very enjoyable read, with possibly the most interesting plot of any trashy power fantasy novel I've read in years.

it's eh. There's some points where it makes mistakes but overall there was never a point where I couldn't understand what was going on. I'd give it like a 7/10, because they do occasionally make mistakes with translating names or genders, but good enough overall.

When I realized that the work was from the author of the pet store, I realized that it was crap in crap. Astral Pet Shop is one of the worst things I've read.

If you look at my earlier comment, I agreed that astral pet store was ass. This is much, much better. I honestly struggle to believe that this was written by the same person.

The story's dynamic feels flawed: the parents abandon their child to fight in a war for others, despite the mother having a choice to stay. The main character almost dies twice, a fate he’d have met if he weren't the protagonist. Yet, he still feels grateful toward his parents, seemingly out of blind filial piety, which makes little sense given he'd be f#cked if he wasn't the protagonist and then the nonsense of being understanding of why they left like wtf you're 8-year-old brother it's not healthy for your parents to not be around for years.

Does anyone here know the name of a book that was recommended to me once, I don't remember exactly. But it was a kind of real guide on how to survive in another world.

Unfortunately, I lost some files and lost a lot of important data, including this book (I was doing some research on it). If anyone can help me, I would be grateful.
