Jie Ming discovered he had transmigrated, his golden finger being the Immortal Cultivation Encyclopedia [Great Dao Book Pavilion] . But why had he crossed into a wizard world?!

The Star Ring Federation, the Crimson Court, the Void Architecture Academy, the Anti-Entropy Alliance… the wizard civilization, in its era of great expansion, waged war like ravenous wolves and tigers against every discovered plane.

This was the best of times and the worst of times.

Faced with the reality of potentially becoming an experimental subject or cannon fodder in an impending planar war, Jie Ming chose to lay low, diligently honing his skills, amassing resources, and leveraging the knowledge of two worlds to quietly grow stronger in the perilous depths of the Star Abyss.

“No need to fear. I’m just a logistics guy, without the power of a combat wizard. I’m only here to gather some raw materials.”

With that, Jie Ming gazed at the plane before him, reached out, and in an instant, refined it! Collapse

The synopsis reminds me of Great Demon King. The MC of that book came from an Immortal/Demon Dao universe and got reincarnated into a wizard universe, along with the memories of the realm 9 Demon who caused his death.

This began his journey as a dual demon cultivator and wizard. yeah

Hopefully this book will be like that, I'll bookmark it for now.

This is good ! Many authors ruin a story when they mix western and eastern fantasy, and downplay either mana or spiritual energy. But not this one👍🏽

Have read all available chapters (131). Its honestly good. MC is smart and cautious, but not in an over the top way.

The "cheat" he has is basically like a big database/library full of cultivation knowledge that seems to span multiple eras of whatever cultivation world it came from - including when the cultivation world was extremely prosperous all the way to the decline of spirit energy and (likely) it's destruction, though there is no information about what actually happened to that world. Yet.

His current world is basically just a massive training planet for a huge wizard organisation. He joins them, whilst immediately hiding his talents to appear as a talented apprentice, but not too much of a genius where others would target him straight away. The Wizards are similar to most other Wizard novels, but definitely not as ruthless/uncaring as some.

The biggest draw to this novel is the combo of Wizard and Cultivation. Most Wizard novels tend to either solely focus on Magic or start off with Knight's and then transition to Magic. This one the world is solely Magic, no Knights at all. Though there are other worlds he visits later that do contain Knights. It's really interesting seeing how he utilises the cultivation knowledge and adapts it to the Wizard world as well as how the author takes time to try and explain how the different systems work and operate.

For example, with the cultivation techniques there is quite a lot of examples of creating something from nothing, which is a much more complex thing for Wizards to accomplish. Yet for Cultivators it's available even at the base level - things like Purple Qi at sunrise and the like. It also explores how the Cultivation system seems more focused on Concepts, the Wizard one on understanding/runes and even briefly has the MC recall how Earth is about Science. Though most Earth Science doesn't seem to be applicable/useful to him here.

I also really like how, as the years go on and a new batch of apprentices arrives, you get to see the little tricks that the Wizards do to try and teach lessons or make a point. Things like making students blend it at the start with the new recruits and shill/explain about the Wizards, having fake accidents to instill lessons etc. It even shows how they do the same thing in wars with other worlds too, so that the enemy doesn't feel complete despair and self destruction the world. They make big plays, like tearing open space for the apprentices to invade, then have the wizard who did it fake their death in a very loud/public manner.

These little things make perfect sense for Wizards to actually do and its really fun reading them imo.

The only downside I have personally is that, like most newer Wizard novels, there are not a lot of translated chapters. And the MTL has even less chapters than translated (at 101).

Some people might not like his cautiousness at the start, but it is definitely warranted. And once he has some proper strength and training in place, he doesn't pretend to be a weakling or anything of the sort. His main focus above all else though seems to be exploring these other worlds and learning new knowledge. Thanks to having cultivation as a backup for combat, he devotes all his main spell runes for research purposes as well, helping him with his goals.

Overall, I would defo reccomend this. Its a different take on the Wizard genre and there isn't anything terrible or annoying about it, at least for now. Hopefully we keep getting new translated chapters, or the MTL section gets updated. Though idk if the MTL for novels on this site ever get updated or not tbh.
