The translation is not that bad, it's surprisingly readable, but well... it's just the cliché shits chinese cultivation plots. "If they can kill me why can't i kill them" shits blahblahblah, drop it midway cos its just like other cultivation novels just a bit tweak of here and there, overall has the same plot

A light read cleanses your palate after something heavy or to pass the time.

It isn't anything great nor is it terrible. It certainly isn't a story to get seriously invested in especially for seasoned readers.

Read all available chapters (303) and its honestly pretty decent. Kinda shocked to see so many negative reviews here. It definetly isn't anything amazing - MC basically never suffers any actual losses, he becomes stronger at a pace that far outweighs anyone else and he definetly doesn't utilise his system properly at all, but he isn't stupid or anything of the sort.

The synopsis makes it sound more OP than it actually is tbh. He can basically give himself quests for things that he wants to do and the system will reward him with something related to it - so practising sword techniques increases their level etc. He can't manually set what the rewards are and there is no other system things like a Shop or forced quests etc. He does (after almost 300 chaps) finally realise he can use his system thing similar to Han Jue in regards to asking it to set quests and see if it successful to gather information. For example there were rumours of an immortal beast in an area, so he tried setting a quest to kill it, which was successful, which proves the rumour true. But he never uses it again after that.

Imo the main good part of this novel is how the MC interacts with those around him. He realises fairly early that the quality of rewards decrease as he gets stronger, but increases with how strong the target is. Given this he decides to act in a friendly way to ensure that everyone around him is constantly getting stronger, thus improving their quest rewards when he spars with them. Even when it comes to potential arrogant young master enemies (which are thankfully very rare so far), he considers the fact that it would be better to spare them and farm more rewards in the long run.

His sect itself is very harmonious and friendly, which is also a good change of pace. His parents are Outer Sect deacons, so he has a good tie with the sect initially and there has never been any case of people within the sect trying to scheme against him - mostly due to the fact that MC acts in such a way that benefits others a ton, so they all have a positive view of him.

it definetly would make it more interesting if the MC wasn't just so OP that there is basically no chance he will suffer any real losses, and im not a huge fan of the romance stuff - he is trying to court his 2 fellow disciples under the same Master as well as the granddaughter of the sect master of another sect. He is completely transparent with them all regarding it, and is mainly doing it due to the quest rewards he will get for them falling in love with him. It seems to be the case that the quest wont be completed until he actually sleeps with any of them though, so seems to be quite a while to go.

Overall though I dont think its nearly as boring or terrible as people here make it out to be, but it definetly isnt anything absolutely amazing.

This just sounds very boring because of the task being set by the host since it is just basically him goal setting for it and being rewarded and motivating himself towards that goal, with extra rewards by system

This is the most basic wish fulfilment system I have ever seen.

A turn your brain off novel the jokes are pretty sh*t, I find the MC's character very annoying. ( Edit ) I didn't like his use of the amnesia skill however it seems to have been forgotten so the story is better imo.
