There is only one major thing I don't like about this novel. And that is the realm jumping.

The MC breaking through to higher cultivation realms is what gets me excited in novels. But realm jumping kills those feelings of excitement and anticipation by making it seem like the higher levels are weak and feeble, as MC is able to kill them while he is still a full major cultivation realm below (or even more). And when the excitement and anticipation goes away, the novel becomes more of a chore to read. Though I still enjoy this novel, I'm probably not enjoying it as much as I should be because of the realm jumping stuff. If there is a day where MC is starting to go up against people that are 2 full major cultivation realms above him, then that is probably the day I drop this novel (hopefully it never happens )

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ long version: you take the usual xianxia genre, complete with its young masters, random ass shouting 'YOU DARE!?', endless cycle of revenge towards the MC until he's forced to gut their Ancestor only end up getting some other powers' ire, and then imagine a story without any of ⠠⠠now that's Beyond the Timescape/Outside of Time, it's like reinventing the genre from the ground up.

you still get the same cultivation goodies: getting better and stronger everyday, taking matter into your(MC) own hands, bromance, master-mance, even cute diabetes inducing scenes, and other good things expected from such genre like outwitting your opponents, choosing solitude over bad companies, drinking wine with side dish of sadness and longing, and come to understand that you can't be hard all the time (pun intended), but your soft side is reserved for your loved ones

2- is this a harem?
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ TL;DR i wish i could tell you otherwise, but this IS A HAREM. idk if they'd end up Xu Qing(MC)'s wife but they're there. no, don't pull away now, remember, it's not the genre we hate, it's the quality! a story written poorly is still a bad story irrelevant to the genre, on the opposite, a story written nicely is still a good story irrelevant to the genre. i mean this is a cultivation story first and foremost, not a harem story with cultivation undertone

despite MC being a teen, he got much more important shits to do than quick f#ck, like keeping his life, getting stronger, gitting his enemies (oh yeah, lots of em), and stirring shit with his senior brother, so women genuinely not making the cut.

just as we saw on RI, MC doesn’t go around picking women, usually the women who came and wanna get folded, often times MC just simply 'i don't know what's her problem is' and move on with his life. but unlike EG's old works, Xu Qing is actually has a good EQ and fairly capable at understanding the not-so subtle signals given, so he only needed 1300ch to see his first bob and vagene.

as of making this review (OOT ch. 1612) there's 6 potentials, one of em that he's done it with and other one already miles ahead of others despite haven't get the pipe, from the rest, one is playful but caring so kinda passable, but the rest are meh.

don't get it twisted tho, i am not making this to paint harem genre differently, cause most of them are in fact trash. i'm making this to show potential readers that this story have two things over any story, an improved and more skillful Er Gen, and a good ass cultivation journey

The only thing I really dislike about this novel is how some of the female characters have been forced on MC. And their admiration for MC feels really unnatural. Like theres literally no buildup whatsoever.

Idk why author keeps on introducing more girls that fawn over MC. MC is still like 16 or 17 and he already has like 4 girls wooing over him. I can only imagine how many there will be at the end of this novel lmao.
