    Read about 120 chs before I got super bored.

    It is quite a fresh idea but one that goes stale very very quickly. No one wants to read very much of a buddhist monk meditating for 100s of years in his mountain cave, the same applies here. The protagonist is nothing special, quite boring not much of a unique person. Fairly cowardly (which is not a dig, it was fine in this case).

    The plot is highly repetitive, mc only fights once he can one shot the antagonist. Thus most of the book is spent describing his increase in cultivation with one para dedicated to him one-shotting the villain.

    At this point, I'd actually prefer the tropes of normal xianxia. Atleast there is something exciting there. In this, no once can threaten the mc. He will hide and somehow always has just enough time to make enough of a breakthrough to one-shot. The villains are two-bit and boring as well. But thats a problem for most xianxia.

    I'd say give it a shot, dont expect to like it very much

      Of course it's not exciting as going outside and battling the heaven. But I would argue against it being cliche and not fun. MC makes the story fun.

      I haven't read a similar novel to this. Story is not repetitive and plot changes from time to time. Different novels have different taste. This novel is unique in it's own right.

        ofc it is unique, i wont deny that. I think this is the smartest thing to do if you ever find yourself in the cultivation world. But from the perspective of a story, its not very exciting. Imo, theres only so far that the uniqueness of the plot can carry the otherwise lackluster story.

          Not sure about that pal. I am waiting for new chapters every day.

          Just a guess, you probably can't accept mc only doing seclusion and only that.

          But that's what makes him amazing, his unwavering determination. Also he fights when necessary. He tries to avoid conflict but never backs down from a serious fight.

          I have read a lot of novels, in which plot dictates mc's movement. But in this novel mc dictates what he does. I think this real-ness about mc I like most. He might be timid but he doesn't go with the flow of story.

          I've also just realized I may like this novel not because of exciting events but the story itself. *Story in a broad term where mc, environment, plot mixes together.

          I am trying not to fanboying this novel. But I must say, story is written by author in a special way to make it amazing.

          Do you think cooking is exciting? Of course not. It boring. But the anime "Food wars" is exciting because how it was depicted. Same with this novel, a cliche cultivation world became different because of mc's point of view.

          Mc's point of view makes the story fun.

      Oh, are you sure about that? Then out of which how much of them actually dies? 0.000001%
      None of which are an actual threat. If you are blessed with unlimited talent and just lack time, why wouldn't you cultivate in seclusion. If I had unlimited talent in let's say table tennis I won't just go out and challenge the world champion right away. I would practice and make my skills perfect before putting it out for the world to see. This is highly logical and I don't see why you don't understand something as simple as that whoknows

      On the other hand I am sure almost none of us here has some special kink in seeing the mc getting beaten up black and blue for some girl he probably got to know yesterday. I can also wager that Emails showing the events that happen in the Immortal world is way more than what an Xianxia Mc can ever experience in the Immortal World.

    For everyone who hates reading stories about these "sons of heaven" and one in a trillion geniuses who go around wasting their talent face-slapping and creating petty grudges instead of actually cultivating, this is the story for you. Outside of one incident that is used to progress the story and change the setting the mc works from behind the scenes if he's to get involved in any conflict and 99% of the time he spends progressing his cultivation realm, learning new mystical powers, comprehending the dao, bonding with treasures. If you read this and can't understand that the dao of seclusion is the only true path of cultivation then there's no hope for you.
