      Depends, it's only a dialogue and plotting, and schemes novel for a while now and rarely a fight happens and when it happens it's not necessarily epic anymore.
      If you want fights, it's long time since that become a sideline thing rather than the main element.
      I read novels for dialogue, plot and lore so for me it couldn't have been better.
      Rather watch fights than read tbh. My imagination is not that good for me to be able to imagine these grand scenarios.

        Yeah, maybe its not my cup of tea anymore. Sigh. I really loved the first half of this novel where both scheming and fighting were both shown. I miss the unique and creative ways on how they fight, and the depth of their knowledge in dealing their enemies (everybody has combat awareness and actually smart in these kind of things). Well, I'm still proud that my boy ww becomes an old hand in the world of cultivation. But I don't see myself reading this at least until the novel finishes (so I can skip chapters).

        I don't think the writing quality downgraded or the novel has become bad, its just that the novel's focus isn't the same as before.

          The novels focus didn't change, the situations did, fighting at their lvl is largely unproductive and will result in more loss than gain as if someone dies, rather than it being an isolated fight both the faction will get involved, because of reputation, luck and more vital things.
          So fight is always the last resort and more so because WW isn't strong enough in UD,
          In LD there's no competition so brute force was the faster way to get things done, even then WW always prioritised diplomacy.
          And now he must prioritise it otherwise things can become ugly faster.

            Yeah I get your point. Its just like how when you grow up, u start taking more things into consideration cuz the consequences of every move you make now vs. when you're still young isn't the same anymore. Ww is in that phase rn, because he's fighting literal gods and demons and he has so much to lose and can't afford any mistake. Just sad that the good 'ol days were gone sigh

    The Synopsis does not give it justice AT ALL, like how is the synopsis so terrible, can someone make a better one? So we can just post it in the top from time to time and upvote it so new readers notice it.

          There are many "sword immortal" tough most are very likeable and good written, the dad of MC is also a sword prodigy so there's that.
          In that sense most characters are good written there no arrogant character nor evil character just for the sake of it, there's a reason for everything.
          First few chapters many not be much interesting but don't skip them too much some things are still relevant even in the latest chapters from the first trial arc(which people say is very bad,I liked it when I read it a few years ago), at least the finale is.

                its my first time seeing a lore reason to using swords, i hope its a good one.
                i am now chapter 129 and i can tell the story reads itself.
                My only complain in this novel is tower trial act.
                It adds nothing to the story and seems more like a plot hole.

    the novel is great a good 9/10 or 9.5/10. t he beginning is slow as hell. like the best part about the beginning is the spirit road trial. that was low key a fire arc. the beginning should be a good 6-8/10, if your able to go through the first hundred chapters or so you’ll start to see one of my favorite things about the books. MC becomes a scammer. bro is scamming all his enemies. not as in for money no he scams them with their life. bro is a schemer he can spend an entire yuan epoch (you’ll find out what that means WAY later on) just thinking on how to get his op f#cked over the most it’s inspiring.

      The whole Arc after the first Major realm(25% Grand dao source attainment) breakthrough is the best shit I have ever read in terms of fun and gratification. Not even Klein achieving Godhood was that gratifying.
      The 800 chapters of build up was so worth it.
      That whole Arc was overpowered protagonist done right.

    Lowkey feel like Ww should recast his foundation to make his Empyrean and paragon realms unique. Like make his Empyrean realm have 90% and open the gate of flesh or find a way to make immortal existence hierarchy useless to his unless their a saint. His paragon realm should have 100% of all types of laws like Primordial and maybe focus on his soul breaking the limits to be able to fight inexhaustibles. Like his mortal cultivation was all about finding ways to push the limits of how GD wants cultivation to be and now he abit more conservative. He doesn't improve his ideas on what could be potentially ground breaking for cultivators an example is virus array or the how mortal are able to slowly elevate to emperor. He also isn't as willing to be in the spotlight to be a better manipulator but isn't his situation similar to rising politicians. He could have played all sides and secretly used Supreme Unity to help understand his essence and potentially fix his flawed method in exchange for his knowledge on the transcend and what that realm would entail.

      The thing is we have the full picture of what is going on, so we can come up with better plans, but what we are seeing is not what WW knows so even after being a Dao Overlord he still can't just do anything he have ideas about. He might already have all these ideas and we might even see him do these things, just now is not the time with the recent developments, it never was the time, he was always occupied with bigger problems to get time to do these things and also the higher the realms the harder it is to break the laws binding that realm.

        I get that. I'm saying he should recast now where they are in story because he probably won't get another chance. The war is the perfect time to secretly do that because of the merit and resources, plus since when has his cultivation realm meant that he should adhere to Gd thinking or planning. With multiple paths being revived he can use them to help make his realms unique. If u have theories or arguments on why he shouldn't, I would like to hear them( no disrespect just curious).
