A lightning strike transmigrated Zu An into another world. In that world, he was known as the tr*sh of Brightmoon City, but for some reason, he was married to the gorgeous and highly talented daughter of the Chu clan?

What? I’m a transmigrator but I don’t have any talent for cultivation? Why are there so many people out for my life? And most importantly of all, how in the world did I get on the bed of my sister-in-law on my wedding night?!

It was a nightmarish starting point for Zu An, but fortunately, as a famed keyboard warrior in his previous life, the world gave him a keyboard in this life too so that he could turn things around. Through his trolling and flaming, he shall stand atop the corpses of his burned enemies and rise to the top of the world! Collapse

Fun, action-packed, and highly self-aware novel. I really like it, there's no pretension, the MC knows who he is and acts consistently to how he is presented by the author. Some random and mild rambunctious scenes here and there. For me, it's been enjoyable from 1 - 1500 (waiting for 2k to binge read again)

I say give it a try, been pretty fun!

Plot-wise this is complete garbage. Not only does MC become a complete manwhore for no reason, but also from the Internet troll aka "keyboard warrior" thing, he becomes an ordinary Chinese protagonist with rare troll remarks. I've read about 1k chapters and the emperor arc is just annoying and stupid asf. Like...why didn’t he just say f#ck off to the emperor and go explore the world in a first place? Because Chinese have a boner for emperor things?

Sure, why tho? Old me is like livin in shithole for 20+ years and mr.emperor dont even give a shit about it. Above that, empreror WONT kill MC because waifu said so (not a hat). Above above that, that guy, mr. emperor is kinda always busy with nothing, and he will never personally come for MC. And he can’t even threaten the Chu family because they disowned MC. So?

yeah, it feels like this dude read the novel only to shit on it or something, like he got filter on while reading.

To those wondering why the emperor doesn't kill the MC

1.) It's too much of a bother (at the time). He is the emperor so his ministers will whine about it since it's inappropriate to randomly kill people. (I'm not saying a good amount of reason too, because that would be spoilers)

2.) There is power balance in the court. There are camps in the royal court and while the emperor is the most powerful, this move will cost the emperor something, so why would he do it when >

3.) MC was not a threat. The emperor when he met MC was the most powerful being in the world (that we know of) and had been for a very long time and by a significant margin. Killing the mc would cost the emperor something (might not be big, but mc was literally less than a bug plus the other reasons not stated) while keeping the mc alive would >

4.) MC was useful to the emperor. The emperor is pretty competent, he actually has plans deserving of an emperor. In any case we can safely assume that the emperor is pretty smart, so if killing MC will cost him something, and leaving him alone might not necessary cost him something but to the emperor, with his giant ego, a draw might as well be a loss; a he won't take a loss. So he does the "win" choice, which is to use the MC.

This work isn't the best, it's nowhere near The Wandering Inn, Lord of the Mysteries, Mech Touch, Cultivation Chat Group, Ar'Kendrithyst, or any other works that are long but still manages to be consistently (relatively) excellent. But damn this title is solid work!

what are you reading? The guy says why the hero didn’t escape, and not why the emperor didn’t kill the hero. The hero had many opportunities to leave the country even after he became the emperor's dog. Why didn't he just leave the country, he loves being a dog so much? Because when he is given a task and told that he must complete it in a month, he, like a faithful dog, completes it in a few days and receives the next task. Where is the logic here? Relatively excellent work? Is this the book you're talking about? Starting from about chapter 400, apart from a few jokes and the prince's test, the rest is the story of how the hero collects a harem for himself, and risks his life for the sake of a girl he knows for less than a few hours? Is this your level? And yes I read 1000+ chapters of this crap because the first 400 were great. And I’ll try to read further, hoping that the story will stop revolving around the harem and the hero will either leave the emperor or do something with him.

Dude, that's his personality xD What am I supposed to do about it? It's character motivation. If his motivation is to be the very best, like now one ever was, then it makes sense to just go to a random forest and plot his revenge. But it's NOT. His motivation that drives the plot forward is that he loves beautiful women to a nonsensical degree. You might not like it but the plot makes sense because HE drives it forward and HE is pretty much a lovesick pervert. So the story makes sense, again, you might not like it, you might not like him, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Plus, at the time when he first came into contact with the Emperor he was pretty weak (and he was already attached to multiple women) if he just left then the emperor and his lackeys would just kill everyone he loves and the people they (the women he loved) loved. Is that really so hard to accept? That doesn't sound so unreasonable.

I didn't say that it's illogical that he's a pervert, only people who have problems with sex will read a story where the main driving force of the hero is the desire to sleep with a girl, in order to sleep with a beautiful girl he's known for a few hours he risks his life, knowing that he already has a dozen beautiful girls who love him. And if this were a story where the hero at least made different girls fall in love with him in different unique situations, it would still be readable, but here he just almost dies for the sake of the first girl he meets, and after 2 chapters she falls in love with him and they sleep. And so on in a circle. It's not illogical, but this is definitely not a story that a healthy person will read. Now let's move on to what I said here is illogical. Read the comments carefully, I wrote that the hero had opportunities to leave the country after he became the emperor's dog, he had already broken off relations with his wife, and found out that her grandfather is a big shot, so his ex-wife's family was not in danger. Nobody knew about the others with whom the hero was, so they were not in any danger. Is it really so hard to read the comment carefully before answering?

wdym "he becomes a manwhore for no reason"? He likes women! He can't keep it in his pants. So much so that even though he could've had a smoother journey and relatively slowly became even more powerful, he didn't! Lol. He chooses to defend and entangle himself with beautiful women no matter the situation. He didn't become a manwhore, dude was a manwhore from the start. That's why I said there's no pretension, the dude has personality and it is what it is.

Why is the plot garbage? The plot is simple yes, but that doesn't mean garbage.

what? did you read the same book?

He can't leave because he has a f#cking harem! HAHAHAHA. What? He's not gonna take the women and run into the wild, he LOVES them. They have families, concerns, and their own cultivation. Is he gonna chuck them in a cart and run to the nearest forest?

"Why is the plot garbage? The plot is simple yes, but that doesn't mean garbage" learn to understand what a simple plot is and what garbage is. A simple plot is where the book describes different interesting situations without even trying to surprise. Garbage is when the author came up with 1 plot twist on how to make the heroine he met an hour ago fall in love, and will use it 20 more times, only slightly changing the details. This is garbage, and this book, starting with chapter 500, is garbage. At the time when he became the emperor's dog, he did not have a harem, he just had several girls with whom he slept in turns. It's not that they lived with him, no, they just came to him for 1 night, had sex and left.

And reread the first 300 chapters (the hero restored his potency in chapter 150, so no need to comment that he was impotent then) and you will see that your comment is nonsense, there the hero did not risk his life for the girl he met an hour ago, he gradually developed relationships, and valued his life, risking it only for the people dear to him. So he was not like this from the very beginning, he changed somewhere in chapter 500, it feels like another person has moved in, who does not care about his life, he is ready to risk it for any woman, he stopped using his brain when making strategies. This would be bearable if the author said that these are the consequences of his cultivation technique, and now he is a little crazy. But no, the author hopes that people will read about the hero who already has 10 beautiful girls who love him, and he risks his life for the girl he met an hour ago and about whom he has a bad first impression. Such a change is illogical.

Why? I can tell you in two sentences what happens from chapter 500 to 1000. A girl appears, an hour later the hero risks his life to save her, and an hour later they have sex or flirt. And so on in a circle. When the hero is not having sex, the emperor calls him and gives his dog a task. And the hero tries, like a faithful dog, to complete it as quickly as possible in order to get another task. And the hero also likes to marry his women to others, in the hope that his child will call another man father.

Yeah, I think at 2k an arc that starts relatively early finally closes. So if you're gonna jump in, better jump now as even if you wait for a long time to read again after reading 2000, you've at least rested at a rather satisfying stopping point.

Dropping this for now. Stopped at 39.
