My House of Horrors我有一座冒险屋

Reading this novel made me unlock a memory.
One night i was having a nightmare while sleeping alone in my room, then, because of that nightmare i woke up, but (i think) the reality and dreamland mixed together and i saw a woman standing right next to my bed, watching me with her hair in her face... It was 3AM and I started screaming like a f#cking baby.

I like to think that the girl is in love with me and takes care of me while i sleep... (Please leave me alone)

I just love this novel although in the last few chapters I think author rushed it a little bit but all in all it's one of a kind novel about Ghosts I tried to find novel like this but I failed

I'm done reading the novel. I came here since I'm a fan of Mystery and Horror.
I'm sad to say I didn't really get into the story, and I think it's because I went in with the wrong expectations.
There are several types of horror. The main difference to me is if the main character experiences horror on a psychological level or if it's just external. And while the horror does have an effect on the MC and has the potential to psychologically affect the reader, it never got to that point. Quite the opposite, the MC gradually starts face slapping other people with horror. And while I know many appreciate face slapping, it just makes me sad.
I lacked other books to read, so I dragged through it, hoping the ending would convince me as it was rated so highly. But it just wasn't anything out of the ordinary, while I'll agree that the book finds a decent closure.
All I wrote in no way means this is a bad novel, it's just not what I expected, and it didn't cover the type of genre that gets me invested.
In the end, I just took it as an adventure comedy novel with a spooky touch, which resulted in a decent read overall. I also recommend putting on scary music if you want a better experience. It helped me with the mood, as I felt the whole horror aspect didn't really come through enough.

I'd rate this novel decent and good to pass the time or for a casual read but nothing groundbreaking.

The haunted house scenes were some of my favourite face slapping scenes. The ghost backstory chapters were also great. I especially liked the comic artist ghost backstory.

Great atmosphere, Great ideas, Great story, Great characters, Great ending(Zhang Ya my beloved), Great everything. One of the few cons is that the last 150 chapters felt rushed due to the Chinese Gov's pressure on the author.

9.8/10 novel. Invisible Dragon approves.

Dr. Gao is a giga chad bro felt like the mc more than the mc at sometimes he’s a very well written character and probably my favorite with so many development as we learn about him. I’m glad to have finished reading this novel the ending was very nice it felt rush as most of the plot points was left behind but I heard that it was pressure from China or something so I can’t really blame the author on that one, but it’s a really good novel 10/10.
