      Not really. I think The racism is mainly how the refuges out side the strongholds like the Mc get treated like they are lesser then, stupid like they got some disease when something happens they normally think it’s them etc. Well expect for stronghold 178. Doesn’t really last for too long but refugees still get treated like shit. And the nationalism I’m guessing it’s because of the prosperous northwest😂(you’ll get it if you a head) tbh didn’t really realise until I saw the tags. Don’t mind them it’s not like the nationalism and racism you see in other novels

    Its sad. Its so hard to find a good novel set in this kind of universe.
    The first 500 episodes were very good, I didn't get bored, there was a lot of repetition, but it wasnt boring. The universe aroused curiosity. However, as it progressed, the author made the universe seem ridiculous and the sense of curiosity disappeared for me. Later on, the translation and plots started to become too complicated and I broke away from the story. Even though there is nationalism, the biggest indicator of this is names, no barbarians name is chinese or no weak persons name is chinese
    In short, it started well, then slowly became a ridiculous and boring and mediocre novel. I couldnt find anything decent to read for a long time. It brought 700+ chapters in 3 days, I wish we could continue well

    This novel successfully hooked me
    I recommend you read Tanydam and MysticMaverick's review below, their review basically best review for this novel, so this just my personal opinion to add.

    To sum it up : the translations, character development, story development and world development is superb. With really good comedic undertone

    This is good novel, it has well-balanced action, adventure with some sub-romance. And the comedy! It's hilarious!

    And the mc alignment is more like neutral good. He cares a lot about his ally, but ruthless to his enemy.

    His judgment also more non-biased, like he knows people from enemy's nation is not all bad, there bad people and good people in world.

    The side characters is really good, they are developing with the story and not get forgotten or abandoned.

        Hey 👋 sorry for late answer, I checked the notifications just recently.

        For me, it's getting exciting after the sacrifices of Great Sage, it's in chapter 250-300 if not wrong. And after that I just enjoy it.

        Oh and don't force to read it if it's doesn't suit your taste. Everyone have their own preference after all.
        It's just like snack food, you don't eat snack you don't enjoy right?

    This is a great Novel, I won't do an in-depth review since there are two others by tanydam & MysticMaverick that sums it up better than I could. However what I will add or support is that this story really shines in it's comedy.
