    I love the fact that the economy and culture of the world in this book is well developed. They are almost absent in most of the cultivation novels I have read recently:)

      Till ch115: 1st arc is over(home town arc)
      It was a really good read. The character development and emotional development is also much better than most cultivation novels.

          What I love the most about this novel is the diversity of daos present. There’s business dao, forging dao, alchemy dao, music dao, wine dao and so many more interesting types of daos. It’s very different from the traditional daos which are generally focused only on combat which gets boring after some time.
          Also this novel is very realistic in the sense that as long as one has a very firm belief then there will be no obstacles on the path of cultivation, no matter the talent. There is always hope even for the talentless, they just have to cultivate differently from others.

            Till ch488: the second arc ends. The 108th xuantian monastory arc is over and 1st monastory arc is starting. The story has been a roller coaster till now. It was mostly enjoyable and full of emotions. MC reaches bone forging realm by the end of this arc and has completed the formation of alioth star and only transformation is left. It was mostly a satisfying end.

                Till Ch698: the super monastery arc is over, including the pill tower arc. Now the dao sect arc begins. The pill tower arc was super fun. The mc has reached xiantian realm and has started condensing the fourth star. Can’t wait to read the next arc!

                  I honestly don’t understand what you found appealing in this novel. Maybe you just haven’t read other truly good works. All I see here is the same template being recycled over and over again. No plot development, no character growth. Even the romantic subplot feels mediocre at best. What is there to enjoy in such a novel

                  I realise that now. It was ok in the beginning. By ok/better, I mean better than the books I have read before. This can tell you how bad it was in those novels. TBH, there are very few cultivation novels with good concept of romance. I am open to recommendations:)

    I am searching for a cultivation novel but I can’t remember its name. I would appreciate it if anyone could provide me with a name after reading the clues below.
    -mc was adopted into the family and belonged to a family from one of the upper worlds.
    -mc’s real father helped the mc along the way
