    This is a a good cultivation clan building story but it's very basic and predictable in its setting. In my opinion, predictability makes it good. It's like a basic cookie, but instead of something filled with chemicals and low quality, it's actually a very well baked homemade cookie.

    There are still flaws like the mc and his children having no real challenges, or how they started the common glazefest you find in other cultivation stories around chap 350+. There are also some advantages, like the mc actually being likeable with very little hypocrisy and being skilled enough to truly lead and develop a clan. There is also truly no harem, not even the usual multiple women with unrequited love, at least with the mc and his children. This is because mc's cheat doesn't require having numerous children or descendants, just more generations.

    The cheat is very good. It actually is a cheat focused on the clan's development and doesn't just use the clan to help the mc. If the clan develops, the cheat develops. And it usually gives talents that are suitable for Descendants, not just the mc. No matter what the genealogy gives, it's never just for the mc.

    This story is the steady and calm type, over all its pretty good despite some flaw.

    Well, first 200 chapters are quite interesting. Sometime the pace of story developing is slow, sometime faster, but if you like clan0building you will still follow it. after 200 chatper
    , it became less and less interesting for me, until
    part started. Even though mc is hidden monstrous genius and have the few cheats, an author is tryin to show us that mc isn't omnipoment as he has the several unforeseen accidents.

    I read this one half a year ago
    Story progression is alright
    World building was great
    But my beef is with character personality? Characters depth? Idk what we call that
    But everyone feels so hollow and shallow written like no soul
    Would be better if author could write good characters
    90% of the characters feels similar to each other
    Mc himself is very robotic most of the time
    His kids had some personality when they were kids but by the time they grew up, same robotic feel to them like others
    Reading these kind of novels feels very depressing
    Almost no emotion and depth in the story
    Apart from this it was alright
    Overall an average novel, but if character depth was better it could be a good novel

    Review up to ch 246(Contains some light spoilers):
    Overall a novel to read for killing time, I'd give it a 6.5/10.
    Pros:
    Pretty interesting start, the main characters all are likeable, there are no overtly annoying cliche characters, MC is smart and of gray morality
    , chapters are fairly long.
    Cons:
    There's a lot of descriptive text and I mean A LOT(Author will spend 3 paragraphs to describe the room where the MC will stay for 30 mins to strike a deal with other families with obsessive detail just to never use said room again) so you'll have to skim through a lot of optional text.
    MC and his family never face real challenges, there are no life and death struggles, no one important ever dies, the pacing is a bit slow in my opinion

    The first arc is quite good. But after the first "map change" the focus changes more to "genius-hype" and many things start to feel like filler. Maybe things will get back on track in the third arc, but my patience is spent already.

    Worth trying if one likes steady progression without any real challenge and doesn't mind skimming large amounts of text.

    Basically a watered down and happy-go-lucky alternate of mirror legacy. No real challenge, everyone has a minimum talent for cultivation, the rate of advancement too fast... etc.
    Its honestly okay as a casual wholesome read, but pretty meh.
