The labyrinth that swallowed humanity. Four choices were given to them.

Easy Mode, where anyone can survive. Normal Mode, where only those who fight survive. Hard Mode, where only 1% can survive. And the Solo Mode, where only one person survived.

The strongest returnee of humanity, Kang Taesan, was an Easy Mode player.

He heard countless times,

“What if you had chosen the Hard Mode, or even the Normal Mode?”

Regretting his cowardly choice while dying amidst destruction, he gets another chance to choose.

“This time, I won’t make the wrong choice.”

The strongest Easy Mode player has returned. Collapse

Meh. It's mid, and there is too much over-explanation and repetition of information.

If you can get enough enjoyment out of this novel, great, but I'm struggling to get through it and holding out and hoping it gets better doesn't seem like a good bet.

To me, it has been great since the beginning and there has not been a point yet that feels like something I need to get through. I am having fun and enjoying it. This is not to discredit you at all, just sharing my viewpoint. If you do not enjoy it even a little at the beginning, you probably will not enjoy later on. It gets really good but is still similar to the beginning.

If I had to describe the protagonist it would be... a player, literally that, a player who doesn't stop until he platinums everything. He doesn't care about anything other than getting to the end in the most perfect way.

I really like the story, but the translation's kinda butt. Terminology is inconsistent. The story's mostly past tense, but occasionally switches to present tense. The story's mostly third person, but occasionally switches to first person. Even people's names are sometimes changed. Overall, the translation's just super inconsistent.

That said, I still think it's readable, just super annoying at times. It's basically the absolute peak of trash-tier translations. As long as the story stays solid and the translation stays best-poop, I'll keep reading.

Did it get racist and sexist out of no where? Cause that's my peak of trash tier translations. It's not necessarily the judgement for the hate, they have a different culture that I'm not a part of and won't choose to argue their morals... It's the inability to tell whether it's hate or a mistranslation. So I just sit there feeling awkward and weird.

incorrect clarification. I have read the Manhwa, and the Solo Mode is the most Difficult, but only allows ONE Person to fight and learn on their own. It is basically a Solo Survivalist type thing, where 1 person goes into the forest or mountain, and needs to use their own skills and instincts to fight against Nature and Environment to survive all by themselves without the help of another person. THAT is the essence of the SOLO MODE. The MC or player, needs to handle all challenges, trials, and floors by themselves without the help of another Player. There are multiple Solo Mode Players, but they are all isolated from each other using some type of spatial/time magic or whatever. They all are in the same Labyrinth, but completely isolated.. They can all be in the same room, but they have no way to reach out and touch, nor to see each other, since they are divided/separated into alternate layers of reality. So even if 100 Solo Players were in the same "Floor", there is no possibility to cross "SPACE" or reality to interact with each other, it is so much so, that they can all stand exactly in the same SPOT in the same exact room, yet they have no clue that they are all standing at the same spot together. It is some kind of Dimensional/Spatial Laws or magic.

Isn't this weird? I think that the reason why someone made different mode such as easy, normal, hard, hell and so on is 'cuz there're big difference between them no? So what's the logic behind, since i' m the strongest player on easy mode, l'll try hard mode 'cuz everyone else told me "If I had chosen hard mode what' ll happen". I just think the logic pretty weird, if he lived in easy mode then switched to hard mode he'll get his ass wiped out even with regression 'cuz it's an Unknow territory he's going in. And if he was the strongest easy mode then in hard mode he'll be like not even in the top ranking or mb lower.

Anyways just my rant bout how absurd the synopsis and plot is.

The point is that he's the strongest returner amongst all difficulties. Since presumably (I'm basing this off the synopsis entirely since I haven't started reading yet) higher difficulties allow people to get stronger than lower difficulties, his picking a higher difficulty would allow him to grow even stronger. Also, if he managed to become the strongest despite clearing on the lowest difficulty, he ought to have the skills to beat higher difficulty levels.

Original posters point wasn't that the mc wasn't the strongest or whatever but that since he climbed to the strongest position while only fighting enemies on 'Easy' difficulty he would have close to no transferable skills to deal with the presumably very high difficulty spike(according to the synopsis).
One could also infer that the reason he was the strongest was because he was fighting on easy mode, not because he was good.(Although technically he was the best on easy mode*)

He was strongest in easy mode.
That means at least he's too skilled for it. We don't know what is his true limit. If there are better rewards for hard mode, he as well could be the persone with the biggiest potential.

Lool sorry but what kind of logic is this? Don't talk like you don't play games, being the strongest on easy mode doesn't mean you're strong.

If he's fighting against other humans, that can be debated but if it's against npc type humans or beasts then the change should be drastic.

Imagine playing call of duty campaign on easy mode then suddenly saying that you can beat hard mode because you beat easy mode.

Watch how you die with one bullet... The difficult should rise from easy to hard. That's the whole point!

Seing all dislikes I got, now I trully umderstand how dumb peoples could be. So hard to follow simple logic, huh.
          Ok. Let me explain.
You have kettlebells. Different weights. The smallest is 2kg. You could lift it. But is this the max weight you could handle? Imagine, that chosing 2kg kettlebell deletes all others kettlebells. 5kg, 10, 100, etc.
Maybe you could lift even 1000, but you'll never know.
What if MC is the one who choose the lightest, still able to handle the biggest. How could he know his limit in this circumstances?
We could go even further. The heavier kettlbell you lifting, the stronger you becoming.
          2kg - easy mode. 1000kg - solo.
If you still didn't get it, well.

let me put it this way

          Earth is an active warzone

          easy mode is no training

          normal is self defense training

          hard is police training

          solo is military training

he survived in an active warzone with no training, and is capable of one shotting a military trained player imagine if he had military training

the labyrinth is basically a tutorial the differences between the modes is the exponential curve in difficulty

          not sure if this helps

It suggests he whomps players who succeeded on hard mode and the suggestion is that if he had the increased rewards from hard mode, he would be a god.
      My take anyways.

Yeah so he became the strongest aside from the other character who survived from solo mode is because not only that he defeated the enemies in easy mode. Its because while he was in the easy mode, he got incredible skills from discovering and experimenting them that could basically be called cheat skills. And thats how he was a unique player. All he lacked is the stats. Now imagine if he had the same skills (passive and active) but different stats that he'll get from finishing solo mode. Thats basically how this story will turn out.

I think the most absurd part of sinopse is not even that.

"And the Solo Mode, where only one person survived."

OHHH MAY GAWWD, how can this be? The solo one only one survived? Weird, i tough it was a Duo Queue mode.

For anyone reading after the fact, solo more doesn't mean it is they can't team up to finish the labyrinth . it means everyone is in their own world so there is none to team up with.

Don't you know a troll when you see one?! This guy doesn't care about the novel, in fact, he hasn't even read it. He's just spouting whatever shit comes to mind based solely on the synopsis and his opinion.

I'm guessing that the difficulty level is used to set people's basic stats/potential kinda thing and they face the same thing after the 'tutorial'. That's probably why he decided to go for hard mode? Since he was already the strongest in the subsequent 'levels' despite having cleared the tutorial on easy mode so he might be even stronger in the next try since he'll have better basic stats/potential?
