      what do you mean? The only thing heroic here is mc trying his hardest to save the human race from extinction(which is normal bc he's a human), it's not like the mc made a fuss about all the massacre going around, he didn't even raise his voice when a portion of new york's population died.

        Exactly. He is just trying to survive while making sure that humanity doesn't go extinct. MC has no hero complex. He is just a responsible dude who is trying his best to survive. He won't go out of his way putting his life at risk to save others

      I agree this is not a typical system novel. The focus here isn't on system but on apocalypse and survival. The system is just an interface to analyze oneself and it works perfectly.

    This novel is really good. It decides to take its own time developing its story at its own pace. People might get bored of the apocalypse scenario but this is one of the few that are done better than even shows like The Walking Dead. The government doesn't just collapse and people actually possess brain cells. We are still only barely 15 days into the story so not much has happened yet...

    The characters are fairly realistic and MC is 40+ years old so we don't have a horny brat. He is a bit of a saint, and for me, that's a good thing. It's been years since I have read good guy MC and nowadays I am quite tired of Solo Leveling wannabe. Side characters are also realistic.

    Overall it's a good novel, though it only has 51 chapters as of this review. Give this a try. Recently I have stopped trusting Ranobes's rating system and it has led to me finding a few good novels that aren't the same rehashes, so I am quite happy at finding this gem.

    PS- The novel is being updated at Royal Road, and unlike Webnovel, Royal Road doesn't promote quantity over quality so the chance of the novel turning shit is far lower than normal. Also, it's free on Royal Road so read it there if u wanna support the author

    As of chapter 10 , I am loving it. It's a bit gritty and dark, author did a good job in making the story as realistic as possible during apocalypse.
    Though I don't know why it has such low rating, since most of the people in comments below are also liking it. I guess most people don't like such realistic setting?

    So, I'm confused, and I would really appreciate it if someone could resolve my doubts and confusion. Ranobes says there is 100+ chapters written but I went to the source on RoyalRoad in hopes to read more chapters, but it has the same number of chapters as this website. After, that I searched for an mtl of this light novel but couldn't find any. So, are there more chapters or not? And if there are more, where can I read more of this light novel?

                I thought it has something to do with that those chapters are only available if you pay for it(at that time) instead of being able to get them for free(you could technically read all of them on webnovel with free pass). This means you could get dmca'd in case you release chapters that are behind a paywall.(like patreon or amazon)

                For this reason you see amazon novels(they require you to delete all free avaiable chapters out of my head) also not available here in its entirety besides the free 18 or so preview chapters.

                So i doubt it will ever happen. I think how patreon is doing it is how i want novels to be monotized so i am happy it is this way... and screw amazon xd.
