    The story is engaging, but your immersion will be broken by the players having absolute peanut brains. They can't even be bothered to figure out the native language of "NPC"s and the "updates" seem like stuff the players should've been able to figure out by themselves long ago. The author doesn't actually know how capable the average player is in seeing through the cracks and it's sad that it isn't showcased.

      Eh. The average player of an MMO just spacebars their way through dialogue to get to what they want to do, it's pretty on point there. Like I say this having played mmos for the past 2 decades, unless the mood strikes someone, they're not going in for a story, but more so to just f#ck around with friends.

      Old post but I feel like your expectations for average and casual players is quite warped. Learning an entirely new language is quite beyond what an average player would usually be capable of. Heck I'm part of a closed beta where plenty of people (including myself) complained because the compass is in a made-up language instead of NESW.

    this novel played the rating more than releasing chapters. story has no direction, mc is a control freak, players are puppets slave to plot. ripping off fallout more than necessary, no longer in the boundaries of inspiration.

    Overall massive waste of time at chap 106 and im still wondering when the story truely start. brainwashing was also subtly peppered here and there, and its one of those cn novels where a female dies in first blood like most other cn novels. conniving, manipulative mc that takes radical jokes into actions if benefits him. overall unpleasant waste of time.

      The story's direction is to restore civilization to the wasteland, starting from making a small town and gradually expanding into a large nation.
      MC is a bit of a control freak but that's necessary considering how chaotic a player can be and one misstep would cost his own life.
      The novel does ripoff a bunch of things from Fallout but it's really not that big a deal as long as the story is good.
      MC is manipulative and conniving but that just highlights his intelligence. He isn't going to succeed in ending the wasteland with recklessness and stupidity. (or god forbid, plot armor) These traits are also balanced out by his kindness.

      I've read most of the MTL which just completed a few weeks ago.
