    I really like this story at times, but really dislike it at other times. It starts wonderfully. The MC and family are are well done. His music talent is a nice change of pace, which seems to be ignored much of the time later.

    His maturity and transitions do seem a bit forced, like he is an immature know nothing...then all of a sudden he is forced to be a man, but still knows nothing. And then he just slaughters everybody. And then it goes back to a slice of life story for 50 + chapters where you wonder when something is actually going to happen. He cultivates seriously for like 2 days and raises an entire realm, gains tons of skills, and because much stronger... and yet 90% of the story he doesn't even bother to cultivate and just kind of hangs out.

    I really don't mind it as its a nice change at times to rushed cultivation. It just lacks an identity at times as if the Author doesn't know where he wants the story to go.

    I do recommend the story, but you should wait to have a good amount of chapters available before reading. Its a great story in large chunks, but some stretches of 10-30 chapters can be a bit of a disappointment.

      What is even worse is that the forced naivety comes from the author trying to rip off his privilege readers as much as possible. With a novel such as Dual Cultivation I refuse to believe MLB doesn't know to develop characters. In my opinion he just want to make a cash grab and slip his hand as deep as he can in our pockets.

        Yeah true. Unfortunately, it is the nature of the Beast. Webnovel (qidian) pay the Author for more content so the more words and chapters they can squeeze in the better. Lots of time Web Novels start off pretty great, but then they just Milk a story for all its worth. I kind of like the Royal Road + Patreon type model better as then you can donate directly to the author of a great story. Rather than paying some questionable site. While there is still pressure to release chapters, they are usually much better in quality.
