I've read up to chapter 81 and so far I could say that this novel is good. For people that like vrmmo genre then this is your cup of tea. For all the non harem brothers this is also readable for you guys. This novel harem is set up exactly the same way 'Release that Witch' harem setting is. The Mc has one lover but he is surrounded by a lot of females and he has a lot of female friends. Mc is very Op and lucky where as to some point it seems force but it's still enjoyable tbh. The Mc is heavily dense and ruthless only to those who are out to hurt his sister or friends which similar to Makoto the main character of the novel 'Tsuki ga Michi'. I give this novel a 7.5/10

Edit: The sister got annoying after chapter 85. She's repeatedly slowing down Mc's growth by making him hunt in a low level hunting ground just for her sake. I will take a 1.5 from my previous ratings and the new rating will be 6/10

i guess i am not the only one who got annoyed with the sister. she also tried to keep him as innocent as a child, which is so wrong that i just wanted to skip the chapters with the sister in it. honestly, Yuan is better off without her. the latest chapters do not really mention her anymore, which is a good thing imo, so i'm glad Yuan can focus on his own cultivation.

This novel gets a 2/5 star rating from me.

Now before 99% of you, the populace, start dislike botting my review, let me explain.

We find ourselves in an extremely generic plot setting: weak-ass naïve kid, borderline murderous parents, and also
    .

This new 'game', which CONVIENTLY is cultivation based and also practically gets rid of all his deformities and slowly turns him into a powerhouse! What's even worse is that his luck is 'heaven-defying'. Cliché 'fortuitous encounters' left and right, and extremely fast powerups. Not ONCE does this guy face a setback (apart from his emotional status). To add more icing on to the cake, the guy has basically every other textbook xianxia / wuxia novel characteristics:

    Jade Beauty magnet

99% female companions (over exaggeration, you get the point) who have stale personalities, AND have either a yandere personality (in terms of overprotectiveness and reverence) towards him, or 'love'

Aside from these few cliches I have mentioned, 'Yuan' is the embodiment of stupidity. The man himself stays innocent until around chapter 700, and also has basically NO education! His parents are quite literally leaving him for the dead, which fyi is against human rights. I'm flabbergasted of how his doctor (like I said, hes weak) hasn't reported this to the government.

Aside from the protagonist, the side characters around him either are:

    A) females

    B) random people who 'worship (follow him)' him

    C) The 'bad' guys who will always lose against him

Finally, even though there so SO much more for me to go off about, it's the chapters. I'm pretty sure someone named OG-Buddha said something like this:

"If you see your readers as donkeys give them fillers for the money"

This is completely true. I'm sure all of you who have read this book know that 90% of this novel is just fillers. Complete, useless chapters there just for the word count. To cut the author some slack though, it is pretty tough to come up with original content, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't take almost 70 chapters just for some exciting fight scenes to come up.

All in all, if you're looking for a novel to pass time, this overrated work is for you.

eh, you have some valid points but a lot of them are over exaggerated imo.

First, the new game isn't "Conveniently" cultivation based. aside from the fact that this is a pretty meh negative for a cultivation based novel in the first place, it's already been heavily hinted at that the "game" has a much deeper connection with that world than meets the eye. that's not convenient, that's planned.

as for the jade beauty cliche, honestly I blame the audience more than the author here. let's be real for a second. would you really care about some side male character hanging around the mc as much as a potential love interest? personally, I think it's a plus that the author doesn't try to shoehorn in a fatty best friend, or someone more rich but less talented (both of whom inevitable get let behind anyway) cliche. Sure male best supporting leads can be done right, but it's just a fact that people don't care as much in this genre.

last point I kind of take issue with is the no setbacks thing. he does have setbacks in the story.
still, I guess it depends on what you consider a setback. sure they are far and few in between, but honestly Yuan doesn't get into that much conflict with other people in the first place. most of his conflict as you said is with himself.

now that's just my own personal takes on some of your points. I do think some were a bit harsh but i'm not really trying to discount your opinion. personally, I'd give the story maybe a 3/5 or at best a 3.5/5. it's really nothing to right home about but Yuan as a character is a lot more refreshing than the typical cultivation protagonist that is either "oh so shameless" or a literal psychopath that will slaughter anyone that so much as looks at them wrong and still try to act like the good guy. I like that he is someone that doesn't want to be a typical unreasonable cultivator but is slowly forced to make similar decisions.

is there any character development in 800 chapters or the mc is still just a naive kid?

there's a lot of character development, it's just slow paced and people don't like how unwilling he is to just start killing all his problems (not that he really has that many in the first place). in any case, although slow, he does change over time and lose a lot of his naivete. still, he's a kind hearted person at his core though so don't expect him to just straight up avoid something troublesome if there are no immediate benefits.

Can u give one good example of 'slow-paced development' that Yuan has had and keep in mind that the novel has gone for over 800 chapters while novels that barely have a few hundred chapters have better development. I don't care whether the MC is cold-hearted but it's been 800 chapters and he is downright stupid af, he can't think for himself, until and unless a person properly explains something to him he won't even understand that 2+2=4.

How the f#ck is this number one(in popularity in all time) , the story itself might be a good idea but the author is just trash at writing it ruined the story, the set up plot, future exc. , the author took everything good and flipped it upside down.

Try something unique for your game? Like something new. People are bored with the same shit over and over again. The key here is just standing out. Try adding something unique, something your game only has that others dont. But of course, a good story plot is very important also. If you want people to keep playing your game, you gotta hook them with a beautiful story and plot.

And if money is what you're really after, then try mobile games. It may seem like a joke to the West but in Asia its pretty booming. As long as its a good mobile game you can at least garner up to 100k+ downloads and money will just start pouring in. But thats still up to you how you'd do it.
