Really good novel despite some arcs being a bit boring. Horror aspect is mainly in the first hundred or so chapters and not as much apparent later on. Regardless this is not a novel that will disappoint. A worthy successor to My House of Horrors.

A decent read, with well written characters and their own storylines.

The pacing of the story is not bad, with action and mystery solving coming in equal part, although some arcs can get a little frustrating/slow to read,
and the ending feels a little too condensed even if not rushed.

Overall, another solid work from I Can Fix Air-Conditioners in the ghost department.

Unfortunately not from what I can tell.

There are moments where it almost feels like a cameo and I got hella excited, with the atmosphere and similar environments, but it turns out that it was just the author reusing similar elements in their writing.

Different system, different universe, different characters, unfortunately.

i'm confident that I Can Fix Air-Conditioners is one of the few LN author who's able to not only painted the world, characters, and settings as vividly as possible, but also 4D-ed the story by imbuing emotions on top of all that. by "personification"-ing the characters' source of fears, rancor, loneliness, yearning, sadness, etc, and incorporates these emotions in tangible forms and made it alive, literally

for example, a giant bloody monster which indicates strong enemy, a cripple kind-faced normal-sized human indicating weak but good char, and a closed eyed&mouthed human indicates an indifferent char, or places, such as dark damp hall with watchful eyes all over the walls indicating dangerous place, and a broad sunlit hall with unlocked doors indicates safety. you can practically see and feel the scenes unfolding in front of you

so, that means story is great, progression is amazing, the world is the kind of which the city is a whole world so kinda meh, but the fights brought me on the edge of my seat everytime.. and then there's the goddamn nerf FamilyGuy057

i mean i get it, author wanna make something different from MHoH –which really fun and easy asl cause of ZY– by making everything as unprepared and hard as possible, but the way he nerfed the shit out of MC and the frequency are killing his own story. i'd prefer to crank the difficulty 100x higher rather than lowballing his achievements, giving paltry prizes, and literally deleting his gains.

    MC's
mission journeys can be summarize by:'+-+-'. he built up his strength before mission → lost 90-95% of those strength as soon as he came in the mission → he gained even bigger strength as he's doing the mission→ he lost the entirety of those lent strength at the end, and gets couple candy for his trouble

in conclusion, this story is probably even better than MHoH, but there's just way too many nerfs and forced plot for its own good. it's so frustrating, i had to search other things to read and came back later everytime my intent to read vanish onto thin air just as MC's strengths

Is it good? Is there any plot development or action?

I'm hesitant to read it, since it's a Slice of Life, which is usually a boring genre for me, except for comedy.

A lot of people are complaining about the altar/memory fragment arcs because the mc is always separated from his comrades (the strong ghosts) and has to do everything by himself which makes it much more dangerous. I agree with them but you have to know that makes it more thrilling and him having his allies with him would make things much easier, which I think is against the point of the novel; the mc needs to go through hardship to gain bountiful rewards. I was pissed seeing him being limited every time but it’s still thrilling and intersecting so don’t let that stop you from reading it. But I do agree that those arcs are too long; they’re interesting and all but it’s another persons memory and I’d rather see the mc explore the cryptic world or the real world. I wish those arcs were just shorter.

Another thing I’m confused about is the leveling system in this novel. At where I’m at right now (ch 838) the hardest missions, items, and maps are D rank. If the novel finishes at ch 1000, then are we ever gonna see A rank or even B rank?
