Empires rise and fall on the Yulan Continent. Saints, immortal beings of unimaginable power, battle using spells and swords, leaving swathes of destruction in their wake. Magical beasts rule the mountains, where the brave — or the foolish — go to test their strength. Even the mighty can fall, feasted on by those stronger. The strong live like royalty; the weak strive to survive another day.

This is the world which Linley is born into. Raised in the small town of Wushan, Linley is a scion of the Baruch clan, the clan of the once-legendary Dragonblood Warriors. Their fame once shook the world, but the clan is now so decrepit that even the heirlooms of the clan have been sold off. Tasked with reclaiming the lost glory of his clan, Linley will go through countless trials and tribulations, making powerful friends but also deadly enemies.

Come witness a new legend in the making. The legend of Linley Baruch! Collapse

Although I’ve read many Chinese novels, I never got around to the classic ones like Renegade Immortal, I Shall Seal the Heavens, and Coiling Dragon.
After nearly 10 years of reading, I finally gave them a chance—and I don’t regret it at all.

I feel the same. I've read ISSTH before but not the other ones due to hesitation. Today, I shall try and read this novel.

I have to respect my first novel, so regardless of any flaws it might have, I give it 5/5.

Upd. Я дочитал. В целом мне понравилось. Спасибо автору и редактору за хорошую работу.
Это не шедевр, но 4/5 точно заслуживает.

Both "that" and "fool" represent starting points, like going from 0 to 1.Novels were so fascinating when we were around 15 years old, weren't they? I still sometimes feel that way even now.

    Read it.
It's obviously not a masterpiece, but it's the literal definition of web novel.
The good ol' times before harems and systems appeared everywhere

Damn it. I want to read some good xianxia, but... I don’t want to read Tomat because of his lame love story (and tragedies). I don’t want to read Er Gen for about the same reason (and also boring), I don’t want to read something like the Martial God of Asura or the God of Martial Arts, because I feel like I’m degrading while reading it. I don’t want to read Ni Kang Tian, because his plot twists are freezing, all sorts of evil MCs are also going through the woods. Silkworm seems to be not bad, but it is too monotonous; in some moments you can accurately predict the development of events of ten chapters in advance. The Cow's Cocoon is top, but I haven't found any of his other works other than the two that I've already read. There is some hope for Tian Jia Xian Shao, but his only work that I started reading didn’t appeal to me much, but it seems to be very different from the others.
Does anyone know any other decent xianxia? Yes, all sorts of systems are also extremely undesirable. They ruin the whole atmosphere.

There's Shen Yin Wang Zou and the first Douluo Dalu.
There's stellar transformation( which I found was good at the time ) but I wouldn't recommend it if you've read a lot of Chinese novels already.
There's warlock of the magis world.
And my personal favourite was the desolate era but you might find it boring now since we're all used to the plot armors.

Well, this is an epic novel. Naturally, Linley outlives his family since thousands and thousands of years go by. As for the "death of loved ones"
I'm pretty sure that was it, it's been years since I've read this.

Well, and Linley had a girlfriend
