    The cooking and customer's reaction is there. But the MC's personality is bad. It's just like the robot learned cooking. I cant help compare it to Daddy Fantasy World Restaurant, where they share similarities of having a system, and the Mc slowly accumulates cooking recipes.

    Difference is. A very big difference. The Mc here tries to paint himself to be a principled person who sticks to the rules. Thats acceptable. But the way he interacts with customers is just trash. Unlike Boss Mag in the other novel, who although sticks to the rules too, has a f#ckin life outside his restaurant and is nice to people. Its even acceptable if talented craftsmen or chef has a quirky personality, but they deserve it because their skill was earned through hard work unlike our Mc here who magically learned recipes overnight. Yet he acts so dry. So pretentious. If he just treated his customers nicely, talk to them properly, it would give the mc and the novel itself a charm. Its just dry. Dunno whens the change in personality though or character development but I hope its soon. For now its a 5/10 for me.

      For those curious, you can check the comments in webnovel, apparently at around chapter 350s, the MC explains in-depth why he chargers a foreigner much more than locals. I'm also guessing that it was not done in a way that would satisfy readers who aren't Chinese. I'm also guessing that this isn't the only chapter where this happens.
