    Read the manhwa and hated it, same with the novel. I may pick it back up, I may not. I just can't come to like Grid. World building is good though but that's all.

      Lol I understand where your coming from. All I can say is most people drop the novel cuz of that, but tbh the character growth is probably one of the best in fiction. So if u like the world building stick it out. Grids character especially towards the end is one of my favorites I have ever read.

        I can't stick to it because even with 590 chapters, it was still mediocre and I couldn't care for any character other than Kasim and Piaro.
        And calling Grid's character development one of the best in fiction is a stretch to be honest.

            If you expect me to read 1000 chapters or so for me to see actual character development, then that means the web novel isn't even worth it. I read 590 and there was nothing to show for it meaning it was never worth it to begin with😂

    the plot, world building, and especially MC's character development, they're lighthearted, fun, and yet so complex it brought you a kind of satisfaction that you don't find everywhere else, cause the start is basically below zero and ends— well, not the actual end, the story peaked just hundred or so chapters before the ending, you can forget the rest. all in all this is a great novel.

    almost finished the whole story but couldn't, cause i was afraid it'd tarnished the earlier memories i have about the novel. my advice is you can must read this story, but if you find it that you're liking the story, then stop reading at chapter 1900 or so, author basically lost his way, he's winging it and pulling plot armors out of his ass.

    it is so bad that he literally threw away the concept he himself made about keeping dead enemies to stays dead by snuffing their souls, yet he forgot it intentionally, even revived a mf who soul already gone and pumped him with f#ck ton of crack just so he's as strong as the MC. illogical bullshittery sprouted from the classic Author Self-destruct Tendency (ASdT)

    swam across the ocean, then drowned in a puddle. he made almost 2000 chapters of decent writing, and ended it with warm dogshit.

    For new readers, don't get hung up on our comments about the end and change your mind. The novel is worth it. Worth the hours you will spend reading it.

    Ngl, the ending took a whole other turn from what I expected. The ending looked like those apocalypse novels where the character goes back in time to save the earth but in this case there is no regression.

    It's strange how at every novel's end I feel empty as if a part of me just ceased to exist. Like a halt to a world I dearly cherished just ended. I find myself nostalgic and always reminiscing of what that world was like. The love I didn't notice I had for the novel spreads and floods my whole being and a sigh of interminable feelings is released. Goodbye OVERGEARED a world I will always love and cherish.     How people love this novel is beyond me...the story is good but mc is a shitty character.....his personality and character is garbage peepo003 the guy is an arrogant greedy idiot..... don't get me started on the forced bad luck in his every day doing....even his fights he is a grumpy anger influenced guy who keeps shouting while he fights💀even luffy has more brain cell than this novel mc.... anyway people have different tasty you can't enjoy a novel another person likes vice versa

      Well it’s clear that you haven’t read more than 80 chapters. The Novel is good because of it’s character development. Grid becomes so much more throughout the novel he is almost incomparable to the beginning. Plus you have to shout out the name of the skills to use them

      If you want a novel with perfect character/Dao heart, read Emperor's Domination. I read about 3/4th during release (many years ago) and then stopped.
      For me, Emperor's Domination is the Novel where the MC is always at the perfect Doa heart level and always at the top of his Character Development with little to no future development possible.
      While Overgeared is the novel with the greatest character development across all novels. I read till 1100 during release and stopped. I should pick these back up again.
      Overgeared has indeed been heavily criticized for its first hundred of chapters. But that is the charm of this novel. Where you can truly feel the growth of the MC.
