Every day I lament at the lack of diamonds and overabundance of coal in this genre, but given the fact that its mainly women that write these novels, or virgin gay men, and the audience is usually only brainless horny people or those who only want drama or niche representation of subcultures… there’s no room for real expanse.

A true pity for the genre, particularly those existing under the banner of a “Webnovel”. Although even those that actually exist on shelves are much of the same, they are of far higher quality despite being similarly predictable.

Truly sad, for the next handful of decades there will still probably only be slop quality as there is a lack of reference material to make anything other that reproduced slop, or just copy and paste of preexisting straight novels. Lamentable, truly lamentable.

I do wonder what the point is sometimes, yknow? Truly hard to find a diamond when the world is obsessed with glass.

Well, thats enough from me. Such things will not change in my lifetime, well maybe, perhaps there is hope for a breakout artist with a pen or a brush.
