I read like 40 chapter. It's pretty meh. The translation felt ok at first but as you go on, you realize the translator is not so good with English. The story is slow paced and boring

It’s actually a book with great potential, but some sections resort to cheap sexualisation, which seriously dampens my interest in it.

Not sure why ★ is equal to two stars. Did author want to make justification for not padding the character count? Feels against common sense. If you want to use less stars, just lower the number. It already goes halfway a star emoji for odd numbers. We can manage decimals!

Was expecting "ha ha mc is weak and don't know how to fight but get rescued by the system that make the op ghost waifu attached" but got somewhat battle hardened mc that knows what he's doing, legit sounding daoism excorcisms rituals/ghost and folklore (that may be totally bs but who knows) that once again mc knows really well and is competend in using it. So quite a wow ngl.
big minus is theres big horny in it and jade faced beauty with melons bigger than head and waist larger than shoulders exist.

Translation is difficult to read, in both mtl and official
A bit different power system than average cultivation novel, but it might be annoying to some for there is a lot of useless info whenever he does daoist work, and can get boring

There is no actual romance as of 40 chapters, and I'm skeptical if the romance will be good

I started this novel expecting pure junk food, but this is actually a competently written work, especially with it's reverence towards the daoist rituals the mc performs. That being said, some of the side characters do fall a little flat in personality. 7.5/10

Honestly the synopsis should give you all the info you need.
