—In the twilight cloud sea, a great serpent roams the skies.

A serpent that carries the world on its back.

Seven continents rise and fall along its spine, and billions of lives drift upon the sea of clouds with it.

This is a world shattered by an otherworldly star—a stage where countless heroes rise and fall.

At the end of the world, the eighteen evolutionary paths of extraordinary Aspect Traits gleam in the distance. Countless beings chase after them—

Longing to become gods,

Longing to become legends passed down through time,

Or hoping to build eternal empires that last for generations.

This is the era where legends begin. Amid the chants of epic poems, the story begins of the Creation Witch, Sylutia, who ascended the Sky of the Seven Pillars—

Interesting world building and lore. Flexible and fascinating powersystem. Characters that are shallower than a puddle. And a non existent story. The worst problem in this story for me is the mc. She is a complete Mary Sue that never fails or deals with any consequences, infact she has never even gotten hurt at all other than maybe a few scratches that healed immediately. 4/10. Do not recommend for anything other than a time passer

    Edit:
I tried to continue reading this because of sunk cost and the interesting world building but I just find this story so f#cking frustrating. I am dropping this but I feel like I should leave a more detailed review.

The world building is actually interesting and fascinating. There are a lot of Factions with their own histories and philosophies. Coherent world history that seems to connect with current in story events without glaring contradictions. Ultimately, it simply feels like a world that is lived in and existed before the mc and not for the mc.

The powersystem is very intriguing too. It's based on vague concepts with strict enough rules to give a direction for progression. There are restrictions that can feel stifling but it still allows room for creativity. It's reminiscent of the pathway systems of Dorothy's forbidden grimoire and the speed run manual of miss witch, with the same problems those stories had of mc advancing too quickly with no logic. Unfortunately, the way we explore it is through the shit mc, so it's not explored well at all. The mc pretty much just does the basics that everyone else does and plotarmor gifts her progression, while the author piles on cheat after cheat to make sure she never feels like she earns anything.

Then there is the story. It is like I wrote before, completely nonexistent. The author simply has the mc do things from time to time without an overarching goal. Basically just a collection of side quests. Even in book 3 where there is finally an actual overarching goal for the story, it still just side quests while the goal pretty much achieves itself in the background, because there are simply no struggles or consequences to speak of.

Then finally there is the protagonist, the worst part of this story. I truly hate her. She is basically a wishy washy happy go lucky isekai protagonist. I will put more details in Spoiler so it doesn't clog up the review and because of a few spoilers. Tldr she never grows and is one dimensional, naive, contradictory and childish. All in addition to being a Mary Sue that gets everything handed to her.

Это прекрасное произведение. Я прочитал весь нынешний МТЛ и очень недоволен тем, что так мало глав(455), рекомендую к прочтению всем, хотя сюжет довольно медленный, но мне нравится это развитие. 9/10.

Review of The Cornflower Witch by Daoist Wisdom

A fascinating multifaceted and multilayer scroll this one. We dive into a world on the path of destruction, failures from previous generations creating all kind of troubles, outsiders beyond the veil who help stir said troubles and our protagonist from a 1st world country finding herself in the equivalent of Somalia during a skirmish.

Protagonist: Our female protagonist Sylutia starts on hard difficulty with unrealistic beauty, no skills that can help her and no memory of who she is except for her name. She benefits tremendously from being cautious, smart, calculating and having incredible comprehension. She leverages that to gradually become strong and successful, forge connections and open more paths for herself.

World building: The author portrays a world on multiple layers and introduces later a multiverse of possibilities, yet I find their description of basic regions and towns, perhaps characters as well somewhat lacking. Could definitely use some work on the details, but overall the story flows well.

Side characters: There are some interesting side characters that cross paths with our protagonist, but they often come and go for they have their own journeys as well to follow.

    Overall: I rate it a solid 4/5

It starts off quite nice , liked her journey and the lore(history) is interesting..However my main issue , is how little of concequences MC faces for her decision..

Like later on her choices put her in difficult situations , what happens?
She breezes , whatever is thrown at her, she's always calm . Appears as the author didn't want her to get hurt in the slightest , even during battles above her pay grade . She gets like few scratches or non.. Author keeps mentioning how flawless her hands & neck , lol at this point she's a doll ..

      Power system ?
A lot is unexplained, MC receives more power boost before we can learn about the existing ones. Thou I like how she experimented with her powers, figured out stuff on her own. Sadly gets overshadowed by new power .

Besides the crazy plot armor & few kinks , it's decent most wouldn't mind I guess. Perhaps the issue is me.

Will give it another try someday.

You know what Im actually gonna read this I rejected this thought because I’m not used to female protagonist novels but that was usually just because they were romance or slice of life so hopefully this ends up half as good as Dorothy’s forgotten Grimoire

Unfortunately, the novel turned out to be quite boring...
After reading over 160 chapters, I decided to give up. There weren't any particularly irritating moments in the plot, but there was nothing that really grabbed me either.
The plot is rather dull; the author doesn't seem to know where to take the story. It's more of a leisurely, everyday story, but not quite.
The main character is also quite boring... There's nothing remarkable about her or anything that would make you want to follow her story and watch her rise to the top of the world; no character traits stand out. She's simply a calm, conflict-free individual, without any interesting goals or ambitions, no strong desire for power or anything else. Just let her garden and grow flowers, and she'll be content with her life. Her abilities also don't inspire me at all; they're just boring and uninteresting. There's no excitement about her power, no anticipation for the moment she unlocks it, and no anticipation for her abilities to develop... Even if they become cool, it won't happen anytime soon. The story seems completely lacking in intrigue... I'm reading, but I don't understand what I'm expecting from this story! The same applies to the plot; there's simply no anticipation of future events or changes that might occur.
Also, maybe I didn't read carefully enough, or maybe I just didn't fully consider everything and missed something, but after over 160 chapters, I still haven't fully grasped the power system of this world. Some things are clear, but not entirely.
What paths, what branches, how many levels, how to develop them, what does it all depend on? The main character starts one path, then switches to another, then returns, then follows one path but learns the abilities of another path. It's complete chaos. They only briefly explained how to get to the third level, and that's it.

Overall, the plot isn't that bad, but I found it a bit dubious and boring. I didn't enjoy it; it didn't grab me.

Perhaps others will enjoy this story more.
