I think the story got rewritten till like chapter 120, story changes after that and it’s real hard for me to immerse myself again. Imma drop it.

In execution, it’s far better than it has any right to be.

From the very first chapter, the story refuses to stall. Survival is immediate. Growth is necessary. Power is earned, not gifted. Every improvement is tied directly to his environment, his instincts, his decisions, and the risks he’s willing to take. He becomes stronger, yes...but never effortlessly, and never without consequence.

What truly elevates the novel is that it doesn’t confuse evolution with emptiness. Instead of sliding into edge or hollow power fantasy, the story focuses on purpose, identity, and adaptation. Ashlani isn’t just changing bodies...he’s slowly developing self-awareness, strategy, and emotional depth in a world that would happily crush him if he missteps.

The pacing is excellent. There’s no bloated grind, no sudden leaps that feel unearned. The narrative flows naturally, pulling you forward chapter after chapter until you realize you’ve read far more than you intended. Supporting characters are distinct, memorable, and allowed to matter without overshadowing the protagonist. Each plays their role cleanly, without noise.

The worldbuilding is layered and full of promise: multiple species, histories, power structures, and inter-species dynamics that feel intentional rather than decorative. Some of the races....like the elephant giants...are genuinely inspired. Which makes it all the more unfortunate that the latter part of Book 3 stumbles slightly. Ashlani’s arrogance spikes too sharply, and the resolution of his relationship with the elephant giant feels rushed and unsatisfying. It’s not enough to break the story....but it is noticeable, and I wished that it be revisited or refined in future arcs and guess what ...it did?

Anyways..stylistically, the prose is smooth, readable, and engaging, with a faintly classical touch that gives the story personality without weighing it down. Grammar is solid, and while I wouldn’t mind a bit more descriptive indulgence here and there, that’s more personal preference than flaw.

In the end, Ashlani’s Reincarnation is the kind of story that reminds you why non-human MCs are so compelling when done right. It’s addictive without being shallow, emotional without being melodramatic, and ambitious without losing control.

This is a hidden gem, and it’s criminally underrated for the quality it delivers. If you enjoy non-human protagonists, evolution-based progression, and character-driven fantasy that actually respects its own growth, don’t sleep on this.

You’ll finish it wanting more....and that’s the best complaint a story can earn.
