    I’ve caught up to chapter 1033. So far the world building is amazing. The tension, the horror of every anomaly. How every new sequence means a new interaction. The underlying deceptions of humanity. Bit by bit Chen Ye is growing stronger yet the adversities also grow stronger. The world seems beak yet has some sliver of hope due to his system. Overall I quite enjoy the world building of this story. Really dive deep into the motivations of every character, the story perpetrates the morality of the human every time it’s given an opportunity. If I somehow got transferred into this world, I would probably die on day one.

    Yeah. Mc is both unnecessarily ruthless and dumb. Dumb because it seems like only thing he upgrades is the bike. When he needs to inflict damage to gather points and survive. Also it seems to be classic CN novel where everyone is against mc for some super petty and random reason, and it's always mc.
    Author also word farms a lot.

    Overall, pretty meh. Just way too much cliche, way too dumb. Mc just seems super averse putting points into his survival and farming points. And overall using his system even somehow well.

    Also, author is freaking OBSESSED with smoking. He's constantly going on about cigarettes and it's super annoying.

      to be honest I'm nearing chapter 600 and if i think about it there actually isn't too much he can focus on upgrading, like in terms of staying alive and surviving, the machete and truck will be main priority all the time, sure he could upgrade some stuff here and there but are they really all that useful? and he's already invested so much i these too, adding another like the technique he's using is already a large source of points to dumb just for upgrading. it makes sense that he decides priorities them. perhaps if the author, made getting points easier then he'd upgrade his convoys items too but unfortunately he didn't

              I'll be very honest with you, that guy is far from wrong, the book genuinely is a gem, I'm at chapter 823 right now and I'm beyond glad i chose to read this book, honestly please read it, sure there are some parts that are slightly off however its like a needle in a haystack you don't realize it unless you reread the chapter which i did and the good parts away out way the bad and the bad isn't actually noticeable maybe I'm just picky. all in all this story is beautiful and I've enjoyed reading our main character grow from the man he was into the man he is now and the responsibilities he's decided to hold upon his shoulders. This world is truly bleak and its themes remind me of Doomsday Train and Infinite train, both which i read and greatly enjoyed reading.
