Well the translation is just readable almost on MTL version. But it’s better than mtl in terms of consistency of name but the name might not be correct sometimes. MTL also okay if you don’t mind some wrong words.

I read up to 900chap I think it is good read not boring or anything. Plot and thing seems to go according to Mc’s benefits but there is might be some hidden reason which will reveal later I think.


And also Mc tends to say that he’s normal not genius just only obsessed with acting. But I’d say otherwise, I don’t think scope of how Mc doing and thinking can be seen as superb at acting only. So it is saying that quite confuse me why he repeats remind himself that. Because so far everyone has been lied or manipulated by socalled not genius person

I like the new cover it’s extremely comprehensible and I don’t really see anything new to me except maybe that gun but that might just be a forgetting thing

This did not survive the transition period between first death game, and second death game. (Ch.41) I realized partway to the second game I didn't enjoy the way this Author writes, or maybe it was a mixture of thr boring/goofy real world development and flat characters that made me drop.

I find the story fairly competent. Some plot twists are predictable and the huge cast of characters leaves some less developed than others. Old characters might just pop up later on when unexpected due to their long term irrelevance. As we're exposed to more of the game and more of the players, the world building becomes more in-depth. Some things are hidden for mystery purposes, others due to game mechanics.

Maybe xianxia wuxia fatigue but I appreciate the the items system as a break from myriad than the techniques. Since it forces users to come up with their own styles of using items, and combining items to form technique systems. so it kinda reminds me a bit of the gu system in RI, though being it's own thing in entirety. Items also make better sense as to how humans could become so powerful in short timespans and surpass their seniors as well.

Really good one from this batch. Reminds me of a novel I read on wuxiaworld a few years back. Currently up to date on the translation and I quite enjoy it. The writing is pretty good, the story is interesting and the author slowly introduces plots to promote worldbuilding.

The only negative thing is that the translation is bad at times. Theres a point where the author discusses the differences between the "fraudster" and "trickster" classes but the word fraudster is used for both, making it hella confusing.

I have just Finished reading LOTM and just wan to have some warm junk food, then reading COI, but this novel caught my sight to have Skill of Fraudster i don't have too high expectation i just hope MC got some 10% of God of Deceit Amon skill and brain

Ah, the premise is honey on the lips: die once, and the cosmos drags you into a grand roulette of survival, where professions echo your past life and each lie might buy another breath. Our lead gains Trickster, a Unique Profession forged from his acting roots. The setup promises silk and daggers, masks within masks, a chance to watch a charlatan ascend as a god of deceit.

But what do we get instead?
A man cosplaying as a doctor, a veterinarian, a thief.....roles so mundane they reek of mediocrity. Why put on the threadbare mask of the commoner when fate handed him the full painted opera face of Trickster? Why play at petty fraud when entire cults of belief, gods of change, and systems of divinity wait to be exploited? A true trickster doesn’t beg for scraps....he builds temples of lies and makes others pray at the altar of his performance. Yet Lin Yu squanders it. The wine is poured, but the man drinks water.

Still, I’ll grant this: Lin Yu is not omniscient, not invincible, not one of those flawless infinite-flow prodigies who cheat the script. He fails, he stumbles, he shows cracks in the mask. And that, paradoxically, is refreshing. To see him fumble and improve.....slowly, painfully.....gives me a strange kind of satisfaction. The stage is brighter because he is not yet the perfect fraud. He bleeds, and thus we hope he’ll grow.

The poison, however, lies in the worldbuilding. This “death game” leans too much on props, trinkets, baubles that dictate survival. Personal power? Negligible. Divine con artistry? Unexplored. Belief manipulation? Practically ignored. For a novel that dared name itself after the Trickster archetype, it plays far too safe.



Verdict: A flawed but intriguing performance. The playbill promises divinity, the actor still lingers in the greenroom. I’ll watch longer....not because the trick is perfect, but because I want to see if the Trickster finally learns how to truly deceive the heavens.
