All in all this one is a good story but it is not the greatest.

What this story understands is how the world can look before the apocalypse. It imagines the world to be like ours right now with no place for empathy. People need to harden and protect what is theirs, people need to kill to avoid being killed, people need to take from others to prevent others from taking, people need to prevent new variables to grow so that what they planned would not go astray. All of this is accepted by all, because they have no choice, and because they all understand the world like that. If you are weak try to survive by any means necessary, if you are strong make sure you stay stronger otherwise you'll be devoured.

This creates a mindset of negativity and indifference.

Now the story also understands the human heart. If you are not a psychopath, you want to be understood, loved, acknowledged. But with all that negativity, you cannot show that, or you will be taken advantage of. Even a murderer, a corrupt politician want to be seen as someone of worth, even if they can never be redeemed, they want to be accepted.

Even if you understand why everything sucks and things cannot be good again, there is some thoughts in your mind, if this happened this way, it would have been better. You long for that, and have some little faith.

And that faith is our angel's power throughout. In the story, our angel changes people's hearts so that they can be good, even in a world of hate. Every time he works towards that goal he gets stronger, and the world gets a chance to resist.

What it does bad however infuriates me. Yu family head was mentioned many times. But he was never seen in the story. There were many unsolved problems, many things dropped. There were many cliches and tropes that were uninteresting and boring. Wasted characters. Too many deus ex machina moments. Too many he got stronger, but still fell a victim to enemy's machination moments.

6/10. For original idea for an angel and understanding what can be the real end time world background.
6/10. For betraying your story and falling victim to tropes and cliches, for dimming your characters. For not having better fight scenes and environment explanations.

6/10. I am being generous. Skim when you don't like something.

This is not good. Can't say it's bad, but not good.

The story itself sounds interesting. A person who does good things to get stronger. You may think that a "Fake good person" being forced into such a situation could be funny and interesting, like how the MC can do "good" things by trashing bad people or villains.

No, the story is basically MC doing actual good things, like a hero of justice, justice-brained, the kindest soul, under the guise of getting angelic power. I am fine with that at first, but when he also forgave assholes and saved hateful characters under the guise of farming angelic power, that's when the story lost its uniqueness. The MC is not "pretending" to be a dumb good person; he IS actually a dumb good person.

The author wanted to justify it by having the opponent feel guilt from being forgiven or saved, but the world doesn't work like that. They won't do those things if there is any guilt in the first place. The author justifies it by having the person who was forgiven or saved help the MC later, which is really forced.

Throughout the story, you will come to hate the big families and clans for the things they did. I wanted to see those arrogant big families and clans destroyed for satisfaction, but from the way the story goes, I can foresee how it will be at the end, they will be forgiven. At this point, I don't see any reason for me to continue.

If anyone wants a story where a villain is acting "kind", go read The Regressed Demon Lord is Kind. It has the satisfaction of revenge.

The writing is also bad. The combat scenes are sometimes not even described. Just see below:
    Leffriel used his Angelic Abilities.

[Martial Arts of the Archangel who Tramples Dragons Lv.20 Activated]

Two hundred and fifty out of hundreds died instantly.
He uses martial arts, but how? He punch? He slap? He kick? What did he do? Tell us something! This is a novel, not manhwa, we can't imagine if you don't even describe it. This is only one example, there are plenty of similar cases. Sometimes, a scene ended anti-climatically and abruptly that you would feel like, "What the hell, did I miss a chapter? Is there a missing paragraph?"

There are some tearjerkers here and there and some people may like it, but the disharmony of the writing killed it for me.

Conclusion: The story is supposed to be about the MC being a greedy person disguised as a good person, but in actuality, the MC is a good person disguised as a greedy person, disguised as a good person. Also, bad writing.

《On the Soaring Plumage of That Angelic Senior Who Never Meant to Save the World》

In the mist-veiled courts of the Nine Review Heavens, I happened upon a scroll titled "An Angel Lives in the Academy." At first, this lowly ink drinker expected a frothy concoction of virtue-styled tofu and misunderstood righteousness, only to uncover a scripture drenched in paradoxes and salted pudding. addiction

What a profound cultivation technique the protagonist embodies—righteousness by profit, charity by convenience, and divine ascension through karmic tax returns. This wandering soul who reincarnates not with blazing vengeance, but with reluctant good deeds to farm angelic EXP, has already stepped onto the forbidden Dao of Unwilling Altruism. pressure

He saves clans not to be a hero, but because there’s a 30% celestial rebate. He cries not for guilt, but for optimal emotional synchronization. leolaugh

Each act of kindness is written as a bitter pill, swallowed only because the System of Good Will issues more merit points for frowns than smiles. Truly, a manual that teaches us that sometimes the path of righteousness begins with complete disbelief in righteousness.

And let us not forget the core cultivation method: misunderstanding so severe, the surrounding sects built temples in his honor while he was just looking for angelic coupons. troll11

But the emotional beats? Fragrant. The arc of pudding-based enlightenment? Tear-inducing. Even this hard-hearted cultivator found his qi rhythm disturbed during:

    Toxicity Warning (Poison-Medicine Spectrum):

    * Arc 3: Slips into a Convenience Cultivation Spiral. Solutions come too fast, conflicts resolve off-screen—likely due to Heavenly Editorial Intervention.

    * 🫥 Student Council conflict? Abandoned like a lower realm side plot.

    * Harem Tag? Not present... until you blink. Then it’s already on Chapter 73, with petals falling everywhere. pog

Still, if you seek a story where:

    - The MC wants to grind points, not save the world,

    - And ends up saving the world anyway—while insisting it’s a bad investment,

    - And you enjoy misunderstandings deeper than your soul-sea...

Then this scroll may resonate with you, dear seeker of ironic virtue.

third realm reader of misunderstood protagonists,
