From what he sees he can know everything that has already happened. From what he hears he can see through the treachery of the human heart. From what he senses he can uncover the deepest secrets hidden in the mind.

Knowledge is a burden. Staring into the night sky, Huang Ji sensed a malice that originated from the entire universe. And along with it, the dire situation humanity faced. As a mere farm boy from a remote village on Earth, he thought to himself, “I know too much.”

From science to myth, to even the deepest secrets of the universe…in the end they are just pieces of information waiting to be decoded.

With humanity being raised like farm animals by an advanced civilization, the only way out of this impossible predicament is for Huang Ji to compete with the aliens to see who knows more! Collapse

I don't like this novel. Here's why: the main character is essentially all-knowing as long as he understands the concepts, otherwise it's just nonsense, his brain couldn't adapt to such a power, leading to some Ill judgements about his intelligence.

That changed as he matured and developed, he gradually began to understand and filter out all the useless information until only useful bits remained.

This is where the nonsense began, everything was essentially alright up until the Mc began using Kong fu. His first instance was understandable: he simply used his infinite knowledge about the human body to identify the weak points of some bad guys and took them out of action. This was all fine and dandy until he starts focusing on Chinese concepts like qi, meridians, and the works. I don't understand why the author did this other than pure nationalizim. This is fine, but before that he learned to see the future and that the world would end faster if he told humanity, so he has to only focus on China.

My problem is this: why focus on concepts like material arts and qi in a modern setting with the ability to know all things with a bit of effort?

Well does mc live in whole world or china... China obviously...no..
So, he(author) is most familiar whit the chinese concept. And. for human knowing everything doesn't mean they can do anything.
Ofcourse the author of china will use what he is most familiar with.. he can even show his nation being superior even if its a little bit unreasonable.. isn't that the most normal thing for humans to do..
Like I am hanging by the rope and your schoomates is on opposite side hanging by of rope ... You will ofcourse try to save your schoolmates first cuz you have a sence a belonging tied to him.. 8f not well that just isn't normal.

Ch. 200. Bit repetitive. Still good enough.
Annotation is quite misleading. As reviews are.
The main theme of the novel gives vibes of face-slapping, but without face-slapping. It is manipulation and puppeting behind the scene. MC uses his powers (its basically omniscience, prediction and so on) to formulate best plans to achieve his current goal. Not like "oh, I'll put pencil here and banana pill there, thus tomorrow I'll be rich". But like "oh, knowing this he will think that, so he'll do... thus I'll need to do this, this and this in the battle. Hey, comrades, here's the plan". So he is basically climbing up flawlessly to achieve his goal.
In comparison with face-slapping: MC being treated poorly. MC reveals his coolness. His opponent takes a slap. Go away and repeat with greater young master. In this novel: MC and his organisation is comically weak in comparison with evel guys. MC formulates the plan. Even guys dances on his hand, basically disintegrating themselves. MC and Co leaves the place with goods to repeat this process. Misunderstanding is written good enough to give some fun to reader.
MC is a mastermind behind the scenes.
Powers: MC basically is OP. His main power is omniscience: he knows everything about the object he perceives. Like, see a star, know everything about civilization on it. But there are some flows: 1). Everything he doesn't understand is gibberish for him. 2). Too much information overflows his mind, so he limits amount of info he perceives. Prolongating learning. Predicting with less details or less time. Looking back in time for less time also. So he is not like God, but more like supergenius. And he needs to learn.
Plot: actually good, interesting and fresh. At least I have never seen such a plot before. MC is OP, but he needs to be this OP to, like, survive.

Next, prediction. Mostly used to predict next few hrs or so in details and basic existence of humanity in 30 years.
Next, invention. Using two previous things he could invent, like, technique, technology or anything. But he must understand everything about it.
Yes, OP. Yes, his prediction is like answer for everything. But this is legit enough justification to believe in forced friendly fire and dancing on the hand of the MCs enemys and to have fun.
World building: as the plot, fresh, interestin. Author takes the plot as a reference and interpretates everything according to it. History, Chinese and Egyptian myths, real events (Michael Jackson's death, Stephen Hawkings Time Travelers Party), Buddhism and Taoism. He also gives unique and onteresting interpretations to other things, like traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, qi, martial arts, medicine, evolution and so on. His interpretation fors solid system which is interesting to explore.
Nationalism: none. This is it. Absence. I don't know what Master_BOB is talking about. He basically misinformating in his review.
In the same chapter MC learns about martial arts he says: qi is bullshit it doesn't exist. Dantian doesn't exist either. Meridians unblocking is bullshit. Martial arts mostly are bullshit. Those who aren't are comedically unproductive.
Then he uses his current understanding of medicine to interpret what is it all about, and makes his own things. It's not like "China stronk I am cultivating immortality in modern world". It's like reading about alchemy and inventing chemistry. He learns bright ideas in a pile of trash and reuses them.
Also authors interpretations are new and interesting. I don't care they are incorrect, I'm not f#cking medic or historian to not buy it. Convincing enough, I'm having fun.
Like, I've heard of that in stomach area there are a lot of neurons. Also I've heard of mocrobiome of intestines is highly important for health. Combining those things together author says, that traditional Chinese medicine alters microbiome (bacteria from various herbs), thus influencing neural system, Changing the state of the whole body. I don't care if this is a bullshit or not, it's interesting. Or that qi is bioelectricity.
Author doesn't even says that TCM is better then medicine. MC mostly learns medicine, taking from TCM just bright ideas.
And the statement that "MC focuses on China ONLY, letting whole other world burn". Like, what are you even talking about, this isn't remotely true. MC leaves China in like 70 chs or early. And doesn't give China any advantages. There in the novel isn't anything about foreigners being worse then Chinese people. If anything, there are a lot of foreigner characters with great and respectable personalities, like scientist willig to sacrifice himself for humanity.
Interesting interpretation of concepts, equal respect for all nationalities an people, that's it.
Yes, author uses, like, half of Chinese concepts and half the others. But with his interpretation it's just fantasy, not xianxia or Smith. It makes sense, considering he is a f#cking Chinese author writing for Chinese market. He uses concepts he and target audience are most familiar with. What is the problem here? Must've he been using Albanian mythology instead?

Upd. Ch 400. Heeey, remember what I said about absence of nationalism, not giving China special treatment and equal respect for every nation?
Don't get me wrong, this is still so as i see it, but China plays very important role.
There is not shit like "we are god-chosen, everyone else is at sub-human level", but something more complicated. Like
. Long story short, due to some consequence of events, chineese region played important role in history and does so nowadays. Only they could do so. Not because they were special, but because their situation was. They were "the only one in an appropriate position to do so". Thus, as I said, China plays an important role, because of its unique position.
Bit I still feel face-slapped. Like, I just said there were no special treatment – and there it is. All races were equal, but not their positions, purely by chance, not because of its characteristics or anything. Other nations are not being trashed, chineese nation isn't being praised. No international conflicts being mentioned, nothing bad said about non-chinesse people. I still fill like "come on".
I HOPE there wouldn't be any need to make new update to say "it got worse".
In fact, I think it could become better. Or I hope so.
I can't believe it, about 350 chrs without traces and now this.
It's still good don't get me wrong. It doesn't really annoy or anything. Just MC being MC (special position), but on terms of nation. And nothing is said about qualities of people, just about chances. I just fell a bit irritated by my conclusion being premature.

Man I like you're honest review.. don't worry some people just can't let go of there partiality and superiority or inferiority complex, painting and preciveing thing in their own twisted sence and meaning a sign of being self righteous.. spreading crrouption.

It's not you're fault.. it's just you didn't have the information and about being partial to china or not doesn't really matter .. because he is of chinese nationality he will be proud of his country that obvious because he is a human not a machine (robot) ai without emotions. The problem is when he seems totally equal even when their country is achieving so much .. world blamed them of being dirty and spreading viruses and doesn't look at the medicinal and technological advancements they have made.Even while having largest population they are resolute growing day by day. If authour being of that nationality is not proud their is a problem..Even I who have lot to complain about my nation still i am proud of it.🙂
Do you understand how him being impartial id a problem subtle however a very big problem.. as the saying goes " it's not mosly the big stones that make you fall, its the small ones."
        Also
"Those who balme others blindly, haven't looked into themselves clearly."

Disgusting. Such a grandiose idea, such a good start.... And such mediocre author forwhat

Eternal plot holes too much unnecessary information. The Squid Game ark which could be put into 4 chapters stretched over 60 4

In its concept this novel is very similar to Legendary mechanic. But to better describe it in words take LM and multiply the flaws a hundred times. You literally can skip 20-30 chapters and still perfectly understand what is being going on...

I am drowning in water and unnecessary information... I guarantee if you manage to read this novel the MTL Dao will seem like a breath to anyone.

This novel should have been called Bottomless not Omniscient. 9

Perhaps this is the real irony)
On the other hand, perhaps fate is arranged so that itchy authors give good ideas for the plot, and in the future some good author would pick up these ideas and write a real masterpiece.
Well, let's wait for that day.
