The Dao Court has ruled the world of cultivators for over twenty thousand years. The noble families maintain a strict hierarchy, making life difficult for independent cultivators.

At ten years old, Mo Hua, who comes from a background of independent cultivators, struggles with his cultivation journey. This changes when a Dao stele appears in his mind.

The stele is damaged and mysterious, but it can enhance spiritual awareness and help understand mystical formations.

Mo Hua plans to use this stele to develop a supreme spiritual awareness, learn the secrets of celestial formations, and pursue the ultimate path of immortality. His goal is to change not only his own destiny but also the destiny of all lesser cultivators across the world.

The path to greatness starts with the smallest steps, and the journey to immortality is long and challenging.

Through dense fog and treacherous terrains, past horrors and chaos, where demons dance wildly, he must plant the seeds of his spiritual quest, survive the deadliest of trials, and prove his worth on every dangerous step…

In the grand scheme of heaven, where the universe is the game board and all creatures its pieces, the strategic game of life and death begins, shaping destinies through its intricate moves… Collapse

Its a very well written story. I just have a few issues, one is the fact that takes a WHILE for his cultivation to progress and when it does he's still stuck in the mold of being 'weak and frail especially in body and spiritual power'.

It's funny every now and then for the face slapping, but it does get to a point where you get bored reading another paragraph about how weak and frail he is. Or about how he can't do certain things, or even eat tough foods because of how frail he is. Even his golden core ends up forced into being a low tier one by 'heaven's dao' (aka plot), which pissed me off since why care? Atp let him have a high tier core dude we are 1.3k chapters in! It made no sense especially since he had a valid plot reason to be able to form one! Why force the underdog and 'weak' label on him again and again!!! It gets BORING.

Maybe if the story were more fast pace we could get a good pay off with all this underdog stuff, but thats not how the cookie crumbles. With how slow paced the story is and how long it took him to get to golden core, am I supposed to wait another 500-1k chapters to see him rise in cultivation again? Only for another 'heaven dao' (plot) restriction to hit and he ends up carrying his label of being 'weak' again.

Anyway like I said where i was in the story we were 1.3k chapters in, and 5,000,000 + words (i remember seeing an author's note saying that) past and i was finally hoping he would get his just deserts. Low and behold we got pie in the face.

Anyway its good, the story is well written and i like how slow paced it is sometimes. It feels really detailed and the characters all feel unique. I just find certain things annoying like the slow cultivation (because of his spiritual roots), his 'frail and weak body and low spiritual energy (which gets brought up alot), and how the plot can drag a bit sometimes.

Ive dropped it for now and waiting in about a year or 2 to check in and see how many chapters are left.

A very good novel, the pace is very slow, you need patience, sometimes a plot point will only be resolved 100 chapters after it has appeared. But the world is very well constructed, the plots wrap up perfectly, I highly recommend it.

I'd love to find more novels like this, does anyone have any recommendations?

Ive seen a somewhat slower novel in the past(which wasnt that bad, but yes this is a massive redflag) which also was this slow/even slower i think it was golden core still at like ch 1,8k-2k, but in that novel there were more realms and it wasnt a main point aswell as golden core being pretty strong compared to most cultvation novels(world lvl almost)
