Struggling until the age of thirty-eight without being able to afford a house. Facing the need to pay a dowry of three hundred thousand in order to get married. Living frugally for most of his life, working to the point of his liver breaking.

But, where was his money? Who in the world earned all the money away?

Jiang Qin, filled with countless resentments, is reborn at the age of eighteen. The only thought upon opening his eyes was to start a business and make money.

He snatched back the love letter he had given, flipped it over, and under the shocked gaze of the school belle, wrote three lines:

I shall never work a job again!

I just want financial freedom, never to be a slave!

As for love? Not even dogs would bother with that! Collapse

I completed this novel. Bit of a sweet one. Its cute and has Business aspect properly outlined

It has business, romance and it wasn't a bad mix. A perfect healthy blend type of stuff.

    Spoiler

It isn't a Masterpiece by no means but it's still a very good niche 9/10 work

The beginning is nice, but the plot armor is thick. The only positive point is that the author avoids some clichés related to slaps in the face, but not all.
But the way the protagonist gets rich is completely unrealistic and after he earns the first millions (which happens very early) the quality, which was already not the best, plummets. There is a lot of procrastination for little development and content. The main characters are very passive when the secondary characters appear, there are many misunderstandings happening and this repeats until it forms a pattern. The only positive point of Jiang Qin is his maturity, but let's face it, being mature with his mental age is something to be expected and I don't think I should worship the author like a Buddha just because he did the basics.
I'll write Spoiler in the comment below:

Spoiler warning: The way he gets rich is by borrowing money from a rich lady named Feng Nanshu who studies at the same school as him (keep this information in mind, it's important). Although the two have never exchanged a word in either their past or current lives, she gives him her debit card without hesitation just because... he spent a few days reading a book in the library at the same table as her. After an explanation, it is discovered that the card actually belongs to her father, and she convinces him to use it... And when they go to the bank, Jiang Qin discovers that the guy is kind of rich, very rich indeed. The amount that the protagonist intends to withdraw is not at all humble because he wants to buy several properties that will be demolished by the city hall in the near future. This is one of the Achilles heels of this story, why? Because no way would something like this happen. A businessman who wouldn't notice the lack of millions in his account??? Another plot hole was that Jiang Qin, who the author says is so brilliant, doesn't even try to find out who is behind her (I'm already reaching chapter 100 and nothing is said about Feng Nanshu other than her beauty.

No, I was just making a statement. It wasn't that deep little bro. Some people call me captain obvious for just pointing out stuff I see. I'm fine with that, though.

I understand you have to stand up for yourself. When I was 9, I too couldn't just let injustice be. At your age, the whole world seems to be against you. Keep your chin up, though. Your whole life is ahead of you.

damn... it's pretty good. may be because I dived into this with low expectation. you'll see mature MC; it's not just a tag, it's clearly shown how mature MC is compared with his peers. Also, a lot of people are complaining how ordinary MC become excellent businessman overnight. It is not that MC is good; he just goes back in time and uses modern days' business strategies in earlier days. Overall, very entertaining novel

It's decent, but there are some definite annoyances and a weird obsession with feet that ramps up as you read further.

Edit: Stopped at Chapter 98 for now since chapters 99-110 are missing. May come back to this later, but idk.

Before regressing he was strung along by the girl mentioned in the synopsis throughout High School and University only for her to drop him the second she found someone she liked, so he doesn't want to let love distract him from making money. The good news is that MC makes it abundantly clear he doesn't care about her at all after he regressed. The bad news is that she turns into some weird obsessed diva who is constantly trying to control him and get him to like her, even though she still doesn't like him. This type of annoyance around romance and the numerous girls around him happens quite a lot, but for the most part MC does make it clear he isn't interested in the majority of them, and with the main love interest he is trying his best to utilise her somewhat naive (but not stupid) nature to try to steer their relationship to be more friends than romantic, but he clearly states that he knows he will accept her if she actually asks him.

The other strange part is how obsessed the MC, and potentially the author, is about feet. His first interaction with the main love interest is by accidently kicking her leg under the table. He mentions to one of his male friends about some feet washing thing which appears to have something sexual about it. Whenever he hangs out with the main love interest, they either mention him wanting to touch/massage her feet, or when they are sitting by the lake alone at night, him actually playing with her feet. As you get further in the feet mentions become more and more frequent, almost once per chapter in some cases, but that is likely also due to the fact the main love interest is spending more time with MC.

The humour is good and the MC showing off his maturity compared to those around him is decent, but the face slapping, annoying girls and weird feet stuff is a bit offputting. So far I'm mainly continuing just because I want to see MC finally admit to himself that the main love interest is good for him and accept her, but idk how long that will take. Some reviews mentioned the annoying side characters get toned down later, so hopefully that's true. I think it's a decent read if you're fully up to date with all your other novels and want something set in modern times with some decent humour.

Edit 2: I'm not sure if I'll continue this anymore tbh. The vast majority of above was written around Chapter 70/80ish and the feet stuff is pretty close to constantly being mentioned every chapter, especially if the main love interest is involved. The annoying side characters haven't mellowed out at all, and even those that do just get replaced by carbon copies of them showing up again so there is always someone to misunderstand MC and falsely believe he is into them again.
The more I type this out, the more unlikely it is I'm going to continue this tbh. I do still want to see MC and Feng Nanshu together, but potentially not enough to ignore this stuff. I still stand by my statement below though.

Definetly a good novel if you're into feet.

I'm almost 100% sure you're just deciding to be a troll for some dumb reason, either that or you're just insanely into feet. If the latter is the case, then the last line of my review clearly holds true.

Most normal people will realise that a review mentioning a big part of the novel which isn't covered in the synopsis, tags or genres is always going to be a useful thing, regardless of whether you like or dislike the thing in question. How else are people supposed to know that like 80 chapters in the author will start bringing up Feet every other chapter or so?

Your "argument" of "don't read it" is literally always the worst and dumbest one anyone can make. If you don't read it, then you won't know if you will like it or not. If you start it, enjoy it and then later on things change which makes you not like it as much, then by that point sunk cost fallacy has kicked in so you will try your best to ignore the negatives and continue on if possible, before something forces you to stop. In my case that was the fact that 10+ chapters are missing.

Reviews are better from those who have actually read the book and that mention things within it to back up their points, since it will help you decide whether to read it or not.

Edit: Was going go type more, but decided to check your comments on here to see if it was worth going into detail, but all you seem to do is attack people with insults/slurs and give your opinions on things without anything to back things up at all. Literally it's all either 'this is trash-tier' or 'this is S-tier' without anything else. Your reply is probably going to be the same, in which case I'm not going to bother replying anymore. If you think that gives you the "win" then so be it.

For anyone who wants to see what I mean, look at the comments "genericname" has made in Reverend Insanity. Currently the most recent one is his (as of 21/02/23), but also check the ones as replies to MolagBal.

if someone insulted your race would you not care

Don't try to smear my name, I have made several rewires with more than 1 sentence, but you are just too blind to find, or you are eager to hate me. idk why you are so obsessed with me, you even went through my comment history lol, either you are a creep or a petty loser who wants revenge for being critiqued. bro get off my d#ck you don't want to be my enemy I know you want to rally people against me

If you don't know all my comments then shut up, if I want to give a lengthy review I write it has nothing to do with you, I have made several lengthy reviews in the past, but now I just don't want any more do you think you are superior to me just because you wrote more? f#ing narcissist I don't bother to write an essay for how much I love or hate a novel, I have a life outside this. If you have a problem with me, then say it, don't try to put yourself on the moral-high ground. I somewhat agreed with your points on the comment, but you decided to be an a#shole and attack me personally, I'm sorry I'm not a b#tch if someone insults me I fight back

You insult me and expect me to not fight back? hhahahaha what an absolute narcissist not everyone fold when you insult him

Thanks, from the sound of it, this is yet another novel that states the reborn character will have nothing to do with romance, then forces it on him in harem form. So, my interest dropped a lot. Hmm, feet, well there is a pretty strong fetish there, but I've found that in many more recent Chinese novels it is focused on more not just because the author enjoys the particular fetish but because CCP throws too many censors on everything under the sun and to get some slight eroticism past them they will focus on such 'innocent' yet potentially strong aspects.
