Insane. Traitor. Terrorist. The title given to Joon-young, a soldier who fought a lost war. Performing the most devious last stand befitting his titles, his memories were sent to another world.

Now named Isaac, he seeks to live out his days in relative peace. But with his family wanting him dead he is sent to the Campus, the Empire’s greatest centre of Education, in hopes that he would be expelled and tarnish his position as the heir of his family.

He is told that the school will treat him as if he doesn’t exist, that he isn’t protected by its rules. But Isaac, or Joon-young, sees it differently.

There are no rules to hold him back from getting what he wants. Collapse

This novel is a bad bish. MC plowed through the whole novel with only two things—Wit and Madness. That's it. It's not your typical story where the mc is reincarnated with a cheat or a system. He's not overpowered, nor it's a weak-to-strong type of story either. He's a maggot who squirms and shakes up the whole world.

The novels pretty much sums up to a story about a messed up man, who's messed up by world, and messed up the world back so bad that they regret messing with him.

I highly recommend this novel for those who want something different. I truly enjoyed the read.

Good read. Definitely one of the best novels on this site. You will probably love this maniac mc, unless of course you're one of the goody two shoes with a hero complex.
One thing to remember is that no matter at what point, the quality never drops.
For me personally, the ending at 201 was better, but i guess the rest of the chapters provide closure to everything.

    What to expect:
Ruthless maniac( I mean it ) mc
Hardly any romance, so don't be scared of the harem tag.
    Schemes
    3D Characters
    Proactive mc
    good comedy(usually with subordinates)

    What not to expect:
You will be able to predict mc's moves
villain will later turn good; this guy is a devil through and through, a monster hehe
    harem ruining story

    PS: Best waifu:

    Statut : Chapter 214 finished

    Well, how do i start?
    This novel is good.
Story and character are well wrote.
All of this story is about humain, it will be better if the world is better explained.
The character still weak but he is smart and crazy, so his power is not a military one, more like a political novel.
The end let me fell bad, but its a great end, we couldnt hope a better end.

Dont give up, the world take time to be revealed, but truly a good novel.
I dont want to spoil but at some point something change the vision of the world and the challenges liked to it.

It's honestly great, tho it may not be for everyone.
Imagine a sharp and creative man with no system, cheat or natural superpowers reincarnating into a fantasy world that has a roughly solid single governing body that maintains a perfectly thorough surveillance and censorship with the aim of keeping the order and balance of their world.

He'll suffer. He'll be pitted against people he's no match for. He'll struggle against the censorship and desinformation, trying to slowly piece together the truth and his situation. He'll be used and forced to follow orders. He'll also try to rebel.
While those things are obvious, based on the world's lore, that's what the reader needs to be prepared for. It's not a steamroll of an overpowered genius, but a careful and nuanced novel about finding a goal to strive for and the understanding reality one lives in. And revenge. All that woven in schemes and fight-action of course.

What really got me tho, is how everything had its cause and effect, which at times brought hilarious situations.

In general, it's a rare find and one definitely worth checking out, even if you feel you won't bite at the plot.

As a postscript, there are people trashing on the ending, but it is a hoax. It was great.
There are others who trash about him being a slave for the entirety of the novel. That's because they don't understand the subtlety of the book, and the fact that mc in truth never acted subservient, but chose to follow others' plans to borrow their authority as he didn't have enough standing on his own or just because of threats, but then he still did it his own way.
Finally, you'll find those complaining that there's too many twists, but that is a matter of course, considering how Isaac fights blind against the opponent who distributes information, and I promise none of those twists is there just to be a twist, but is a process that slowly teaches us about the objectives of various factions.

    Enjoy.

Hi, i'm around chapter 56, and the mc is still as weak as a chicken. In a world of swords and magic, not being able to use either is extremely mind boggling to me, because the mc will always be someone else's patsy, which he has been until now. He's constantly being pushed around like a slave-boy, doing someone else's bidding under the threat of death, so i would like to ask, when does this novel get good? If at all?
Edit: Nvm, there is a weak protagonist tag, so i assume he never gets strong. What a shame. I guess this novel isn't for me.
