“Hello, esteemed Miss Janna Roland. How do you feel about having received the title of [Most Charming Witch] , awarded by Wizard Weekly, for three consecutive years?”

“To be honest, rather than that title, I prefer the way other wizards refer to me.”

“You don’t mean: Master of Life, Keeper of Summoning Laws, Spirit Realm’s Dearest, Guardian of the Four Seasons, Soul Singer…?”

“None of those.”

“I prefer to be called — the Erudite Wizard.” Collapse

As a webnovel it's average, as a wizard novel it's subpar. The author clearly created a bleak setting with contamination, outer gods, and black wizards yet wrote this as a light hearted novel with Shonen esque traits. There is also the horrible pacing. The author takes 1-2 chaps every time mc is in class and learning a single spell. Most of these chapters are just there to glaze the mc, especially since she literally only needs to learn the basics of the spell and never practices. The author doesn't spend nearly as much time advancing the plot or deepening the world building. Classes such as history or languages that could have been used to give basic details about the world are skipped in favor of magic classes filled with undeserved glaze. Out of the 115 chapters I read most of it was just glazing the mc and only a little over a month passed in world.

Her cheat also really cheapens the progression you would find in these types of wizard novel. Her cheat is just too op. She only needs to learn a spell once and never practice it afterwards. since even after 100 chaps, the mc never learns a side profession that doesn't use spells, like potions or alchemy, the only progression is learning spells and doing daily quests that are never difficult by any means for the mc. The only thing that stops her from learning all spells available is money, which isn't solved compellingly as the author pretty much handed her the solution and she always refuses when people literally try to solve this problem for her. She also never actually researches anything. So progression isn't that great in this novel.

Ultimately, it's just a very mid webnovel. At least this isn't a useless gender bender.

It's just... Too ordinary. I don't know, I was hoping that since the main character is a girl, there would be something interesting here, but it's the same, just the same, I went on to watch new titles, good luck to everyone.
