Apocalypse: I Built the Infinite Train末日：我打造无限列车

The real problem with Infinite Train is that the author is so terrified of writing a "trashy OP" character that they ended up breaking the story’s own logic. By forcing Lin Xian to stay this "realistic student" with annoying nerfs (like needing blueprints, having zero stamina, or a scan that isn't even X-ray vision), the author creates a massive mismatch. You’ve got a world filled with 10km-long cosmic corpses and deep-state replicant conspiracies; meanwhile, the main guy is still acting like some cautious part-time mechanic.

​This "selective realism" feels like a shield for the author. They use "science" and "limitations" as an excuse to drag out the plot and keep Lin Xian passive, but then they let him "magically" swallow a 10,000-ton nuclear reactor whenever they need a cool scene.

Ngl the MTL option seems better than the shitty "official" translation

Too many Sentences have been cut on the "official"(not official but yk...) translation that some meaning has been lot

On the bunker mini-arc, it's 175% completion for the bunker???(btw they said bunker wasn't complete)

How the f#ck is that even possible to go from 1/5 completion to 175% on the "official"

Moreover I noticed on the official they've taken some "liberty" to change some things cut off some parts

It's kinda annoying tbh, feels like some parts are missing or too short

Both are using Ai and MTL anyways, the cons are that the official have some cut off parts, less details, and has a plus side of some emotional sentences upgrades I guess?

I mean you can also read on the official translation if you're fine with some parts cut off + less details but the plus si de is that it's also quicker to read(not my style ig)

Atmospher and world building is good

This is a shit of a novel that should be hovering on 2 stars. But i guess if there's harem and underage lolis then the sickos would rate it 5 stars

Не люблю, когда автор всё время держит читателя в напряжении. Передышки, конечно, есть, но за 370 глав герой отдыхал всего раза два, если так можно выразиться. В остальном — сплошной побег. Он бежит уже месяц или около того, а глав уже 370, и они большие — как две или три обычные главы.

«Лолей» не заметил. Та героиня уж точно с лоли не ассоциируется, скорее с мощным соратником. Лоли — это разве что та девчонка с мехом, но отношений с ГГ у неё нет. Поклонения я тоже такого сильного не нашёл (хотя, если читатель с причудой, он всё найдёт).

До 300-й главы иногда кажется, что то ли автор с нейросетью писал, то ли это приколы переводчиков. Ибо полглавы история может идти в одном русле, а в следующей главе этого как бы и не было, и сюжет идёт по другому пути. Это очень сбивает и бесит. Плюс перевод х**новый: постоянно путаются пол и даже имена героев.

Как история — вещь хорошая, но много воды, можно было бы всё это сократить. Да и в начале автор хотел развивать паранормальные вещи в виде призраков (то радио, которое он потом переделал в очиститель тёмной энергии), но потом забросил это и решил сделать просто проклятые вещи, и всё.

Ещё вопросы к логике. Автор странно выделяет ГГ с теми же метками. Вроде три месяца прошло, а официальная группа, спасающая людей, об этом не знала? Хотя у них народа дофига, они даже исследуют Бездну, а об этом не додумались. Плюс что-то долго народ эвакуируется. Тоже странно: вроде даже первые три месяца люди могли жить у себя в квартирах, и не приходилось бегать. Да и судя по тексту, правительство уже знало об ужасе Бездны до наступления апокалипсиса, но не предпринимало никаких шагов.

Когда-нибудь финальную главу прочитаю, и хватит с меня. Роман топ, но слишком много воды, и всё очень тянется.

This could've been great novel. But because the desperate loli and worship type of romance, the great things is thrown out of the window. Especially when that out of tune lustful scene on the high intensity plot. It's just break the immersion.

3/5. Man the community ability to review has been going downhill these recent years. This novel is not worthy to get 4/5. From AI translation alone is already indicator that the star should've not been that high.

Is there a novel like this? An apocalypse setting where the world is in constant danger—not like a vanilla apocalypse, where the threat feels stagnant.

Or something entirely different—stories where the MC has mechanical abilities, similar to this novel or The Legendary Mechanic.

Better yet, a novel where the MC lives in a moving vehicle or fortress, similar to Infinite Train?

Great read. Translation quality gets bad at around 300s but it reverts to normal mostly.

This is a good book, a good enthralling story.

This would make an amazing video game series, or movie series.
