In France, just entered Versailles, with the identity of the Crown Prince.

The only problem was that the reigning king was Louis XVI, and in two years, he'd be "snapped"...

Since I couldn't rely on dear old dad and the ministers, I had to take matters into my own hands to reform France!

First, make a bit of easy money to solve the financial crisis that had plagued the nation for hundreds of years.

Then give a harsh lesson to those nobles harboring treacherous intentions and plotting to seize power.

Next, confiscate the Church's abundant lands, acquired without lifting a finger.

Industry, technology, agriculture, commerce—I will all advance side by side, I, the greatest Crown Prince in France!

That year, when the little British struggled with the allied forces at his borders, I simply took over his little island.

That year, my sword pointed at all of Europe, the magnificent feat Napoleon didn't accomplish, I will achieve!!! Collapse

A Disappointing Distortion of Islamic Belief and History
I am writing this review to express my strong condemnation of the misinformation regarding Islam and Muslims presented in this novel. While the author maintains a veneer of historical objectivity throughout much of the story, they abruptly abandon that standard when portraying Islamic culture and belief, replacing it with lazy stereotypes and offensive distortions.

    To provide clarity:

The Meaning of Faith: Allah in Arabic simply means "The One and Only God." In Islam, God is the eternal, singular, indivisible, uncreated unique being who is the Ruler, Creator and Sustainer of the universe. A Muslim is, by definition, one who submits their will to that One Creator.

Strict Monotheism: Islam is a major Abrahamic faith. We adhere to the strictest form of monotheism, more so than any other tradition. We strictly and utterly forbid polytheism (shirk). We do not worship statues, trees, stones, or any created thing. To portray Muslims as engaging in the worship of a stone statue—or to suggest that our clergy would validate such an act—is a fundamental misrepresentation of the religion.

The People of the Book: Muslims are people of the Book. We follow the Quran and the Sunnah(example) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as recorded in the Hadith. We are guided by knowledge, scripture, and scholarship. To depict Muslims as a collection of ignorant, gullible people who are easily swayed by "oracle stones" and superstitious hoaxes is a profound insult to the millions of believers who hold these texts as their foundation.

The Offensive Use of Symbolism: The author’s choice to have the characters worship a "one-eyed" statue is particularly egregious. In Islamic eschatology, the "one-eyed" figure is identified as the Dajjal—the ultimate deceiver and a figure of absolute evil that Muslims are commanded to reject and be wary of. Using such a symbol to represent a divine "oracle" that Muslims would follow is not just a historical inaccuracy; it is an act of extreme disrespect that suggests either deep malice or a complete disregard for the core tenets of the faith.

It is disheartening to see an author who is clearly capable of researching historical context choose to portray a religious community as cartoonishly ignorant and idolatrous for the sake of a plot device. Real history and the reality of the Muslim faith are far more complex and dignified
