This is a very wholesome novel that make me feel warm and happy with the interaction between the mc and her pets
Definitely one of the top novel that i have ever read

[Summary:]

This story is about a transmigrated female protagonist who successfully became a famed Beast Tamer.
It highlights her journey from the very beginning of her Beast-Taming Path, while climbing step-by-step toward glory along with her pets.


[Setting:]

The story center around the Female Protagonist's daily-school-career life.
Although theoretically sci-fi, (ex: multi-planets, intergalactic space-travel, etc.) the settings never really focus neither on the techs nor gadgets, but rather on pet-bonding and daily-adventure.
Truth to be told, the novel has a distinctive 'Pokémon Flavor'.

[Plot:]

Not much to say. I'd describe this as: no consequential Major Plot, but instead filled with sequential Minor Plots.

[Characterization:]

Some characters are distinctively endearing, while most are rather just some renewable passerby.

[Writing / Translation Style:]

Normal, I guess? Not particularly distinctive, yet not much to hate either. If there's something... it'd be the inconsistent term-translation which appeared a few times.

[Tone:]

A very light-hearted read. It's a somewhat… 'daily-adventurous-slice-of-life' kind of novel.

[Mood:]

One could say that it is mostly cute-and-funny.


[Strongest Points:]

- Light-Hearted Humor. Reminiscent of Pokémon: with narrative-safe violence. This beast-taming novel can be considered as a decent novel.

- Entertaining Characterization. Some pets, particularly, are very funny and endearing.

- Neutral Tone. For a C-LN (Chinese Light-Novel), the writings are quite neutral thus, more accessible to readers of all kinds.

- Sanitized Violence. Although there are fighting all the times, the way the story was written soften the violence-impacts.


[Weakest Points:]

- Lack of Major Plot. Non-Existent Sense of Urgency. One of the biggest drawback of this novel is the lack of the tension, often driven by the urgency of the situation, or the ultimate purpose. Reading this story… is like playing Harvest-Moon without Time-Limiter... where the Protagonist, at her own rhythm, progress here and there, always gathering crops… without ever even needing to sell any of it. At some point... no one care anymore since the warehouse was filled ages ago, while the player knows that no one would ever die from the hunger.

- Repetitive Story Pattern. There's nothing wrong with repetitions, particularly when it is purposefully intended. What's bad though, is when the writer obviously intend to be... original, yet always repeating the same predictable pattern.

- Over-focused MC. Overly OP MC. Writers often forget that the MCs are often just lenses through which, readers can perceive the fantastic world. Whenever that happens, the story become terribly biased, as if the world revolves around the MC, instead of the MC trying to survive through the world. Though, to be fair, although the MC is quite OP, the pace and the way it was written was still better done than most C-LNs in general.

- Unclear Power-Mechanisms. Would you believe that after 600 chapters… I still cannot clearly identify-without-a-single-ounce-of-doubts about the MC's golden finger? It's like... I kind of understand… yet still unable to pinpoint it.

- Untapped Potential. There are so much untapped potential in this novel: power-mechanisms, high-tech gadgets, mysterious creatures, unique skills, potential conflicts, etc… yet this novel always revolve around the same things all the time. A shame, really.


[Verdict:]

A time-killer who possess potentials: though not quite there in its art of killing… yet still hasn't lost its humanity thus, worthy to be reviewed for redemption.

The books alright and worth a read as something to fill the space. While it is a FL baring a couple of moments for the most parts it's played off rather well. A major problem that the book does have is the updates keep skipping chapters which usually gets fixed eventually but it's still irritating.

There is a novel on Webnovel that is literally the same just with a male mc and instead a fox the male mc has a fire dog.
I think somebody just switched the genders of the mc, but don’t know which is the original.
