      Imperium of Man is humanity faction, super religious and facist and worships the God-Emperor who is wounded on his throne holding back the main bad guys, the Chaos gods.

      Other factions include - space orcs who will kill every human for fun, space elves who think humans are monkeys, evil elves who will love to kill all humans, space terminator Egyptians who would kill all humans for taking their space, space cockroaches who will eat all humans, space communists who will brainwash/genocide/etc all humans.

      Good thing humans have Space Marines, genetically enhanced soldiers operating in units called “Chapters” fighting the good fight against all alien scum.

      That’s the warhammer setting, broadly speaking,

      Fan fiction is usually told through the lens of what-ifs in the universe - akin to Star Wars.

      What if Darth Vader went back in time to fix things, or never fell at all - what if the Emperors sons (or son) went back in time to fix things or never fell at all.
