      I don't think that's such a bad thing, honestly. Asterion is more of an enemy to Cassie than he is to Sunny and Nephis; all the mind games took place between the two of them. The fable of Theseus reinforces the specific rivalry between those two even further, so I think it would be better if she were the one to finish him off. Sunny and Nephis's arc wrapped up nicely with the battle against VTB.

    Btw I wanted to ask this before but the Sin of Solace is a transcendent memory right? So how is it even affecting Asterion..

    Couldn't he just will for it to not work? Like sunny said, the use of memories becomes obsolete in battles of higher rank but a transcendent titan is somehow able to keep up with a Sovereign who's domain is the entirety of humanity... Because of his sword

      You could say the same of how Morgan, a Transcendent Beast, as a sword was able to cause damage to Mordret, a Supreme Titan, in his fight with Asterion. The SOS is still a powerful weapon with crazy enchantments which came from a Cursed Tyrant.

        Hmm true true, I forgot about that because I just assumed that Morgan was made to cut things because of her flaw but ig the Sin of Solace is truly the flaw of Asterion.

        Just one issue, the trancendant sword that Asterion was using was becoming a conduit for a Supreme's will amplified by the entirety of humanity while the Mad Prince is just a regular trancendant (not regular but u get it) holding a trancendant blade.

          The Sin of Consolation is also no ordinary sword, as the description states that the blade is "a whisper of Ariel," in addition to its enchantments making the blade more resistant and sharp, with the bonus that the crazier the person wielding it, the more powerful the blade becomes.
          The Sin of Consolation wielded by the Mad Prince cannot be categorized as a transcendent memory.

            "The blade is a whisper of Ariel". Can you remind me how Sunny got such a sword? I don't remember but I thought he kill stealed a Corrupted Tyrant that Sky Tide killed?

            But yeah you're right, the sin of solace is a crazy sword.. just thought that a supreme should have been able to just will the memory to not work.. well whatever your explanation makes sense

              Sunny obtained the sword by stealing the death of a corrupt tyrant from the hands of the saint Tyris.
              The description of the sword is in chapter 869, basically it says that the sword is a whisper of Ariel, who transformed a beautiful monster into a queen and gave her a sinister gift of forbidden knowledge.

              The mad prince and his cursed sword wouldn't be a problem, but Asterion is fighting three distinct wars, each with multiple battlefronts.

              A battle of wills against Cassie affecting billions of infected.

              A direct battle against the mad prince and his sword that counters all of Asterion's abilities.

              And Mordret, Kai, Jet, Effie, and Rain storming their citadels.

              As powerful as Asterion is at this point, his Will is too fragmented.
