    Isn't this smile fo heaven? Cassie wouldn't lose her self she has way to many anchors and experience to lose herself, plus she is just a saint she would nt be able to lose her self like this none the less with 8 soverigns protecting her

    Smile of heaven went onto the 3rd or 4th gate right to evade a monster or something can't remember, broken swords litteral goal was to look for her by entering this gates. So I 100% belive this is smile of heaven and she lost herself cause she enterd the gate without any anchors + without a physical body

    This is the only possible conclusion no? It can't be Aesterion cause they specifically said she a blind women, and it wouldn't make sense to randomly add a new charecter and hte climax of the story

    After reading this and the next chapter over and over again, I'm pretty certain this chapter is about Cassie. It seems that Asterion infects pretty much all of humanity including Nephis (master of the Fire Keepers), Nightwalker, and possibly Mordret. Do y'all think Mordret is the butcher of the north? Are the misty mountains in the north?

    Anyway, Sunny doesn't seem to be part of the siege or else his countless shades would be mentioned. Perhaps he's able to resist Asterion's mind plague because of the mind weave, but can't counter it without the entirety of Shadow Dance. So he needs his true name and fate back. Since he isn't mentioned by Cassie's memory, perhaps he is away at Ariel's tomb to take his fate back from the vile thieving bird.

    Meanwhile, Cassie is the only one who can counter Asterion's power since she's also of a mind/memory domain. So she fights him head to head to buy Sunny time before Asterion consumes humanity. In the process of it, her mind is shattered but she attains supremacy and refuses to yield to Asterion's mind plague.

      I've come to same conc as well, we can't tell what sunny is doing at the moment, but your assumption is as good as any. I dont think Mordret has been taken by Asterion, since Cassie prevented him from doing something that would change the battle. I speculate that Mordret wanted to take all of humanity as his vessel somehow and Cassie prevented him from doing that (also somehow). I also think that Cassie is battling/ resisting asterion all by her self, but i dont think that she will attain supremacy in this way, not because it doesnt make sense, but because i dont think G3 would engage in lazy writing (Mordret basically did the same thing). Also Cassie resisting a supreme as a saint in basically his domain is INSANE, Cassie upscale?
      Sidenote; we now know that the chained isles is not falling into the void anymore, as it seems that the ebony tower was brought up and chained to the rest of the islands, which is kinda cool. I remember such a thing being mentioned as a theory somewhere.

        It definitely looks like she is going to attain supremacy from this. We have also heard of people becoming supreme by killing supremes as saints, Eurys shared an example of the guy I think Azarax his name becoming supreme by killing his father

      I think with what we've seen it's to be expected that we can't see Sunny in this vision because he's one of the unknown. You can't see Sunny in any visions of the future because he's ripped out of fate.

      But I think what you said is probably going to be how it plays out and it all rests on Sunny

      If Sunny is currently in Ariel's Tomb, then Nephys can't be the Master of the Fire Guardian. When Sunny was talking to himself in the Tomb, he seemed to say that Nephys was there with him.

    This creature here is interesting, it might be Asterion but the way it uses its Will to approach and see memories would have made me assume it's Cassie.

    Maybe it's something entirely new we haven't seen.

    But already I think we could see the bright side into all this doom and despair which is that we haven't seen Sunny yet because he's a void. So because of that he could change things around and everything lies on him
