      Every time Nephis flies I think the same, flame wings make as much sense as shadow wings, both are incorporeal... Even tho Sunny already proved his shadows are corporeal enough to become a blade...

        He knows winged form of Great Monster butterfly, the problem is turning in other creatures apart himself makes him slowly lose his mind(that is also reason why he can't learn any new transformation unless he sacrifice chunk of his sanity that might change him permanently), and it is better to not use until absolutely necessary, and Nephise's form of angel he can't learn because he doesn't understand Neph that much to turn into her.

          He doesn't know that form, nor does he need it, what he needs is something more akin to a big hunting bird, like a hawk for exemple or a human version with wings

            It's your that does not stand, because we have seen Sunny using Serpent form only once and after that we don't have any confirmation he ever used it. And learning creatures form is hard, long and first transfomation into creature can drive you crazy as Sunny almost did when turned into Daeron first time he doesn't have privilage of True Name now everything will be even worse. Plus it all depends on luck, will you find suitable creature? will you be able to observe it long enogh to understand it personality what it's driven by, what it's life was before it met you? In God's Grave of all places where average life span of a creature is 5 seconds.

              How do you think he reached the antartica the second time, by taking that form obviously, and once mastered the form isn't hard
              You can see it as he uses the crow form, the demon form and the serpent form
              If it was that risky, he wouldn't abuse the shit out of it
              Also, but you're not using your head on that one, you don't need to go to godgrave to copy shit, you can copy anything anywhere, the power of what you copy doesn't even matter, only the form does, and the size obviously, but one could argue that he could make a big crow if he really wanted too

                Yes and I understand how you would think that way considering that it's has been quite a while since it was mentioned, I think you might have forgotten that it has been stated before by sunny himself that because he lost his true name he can only change form into mundane creatures like the crow (because they're mundane), the Shadow Serpent (I think you're confusing this one with king Daeron), and the four arms shadow creature he possessed in second Nightmare (because it's basically just sunny himself). Any other forms and he risk losing his mind because he doesn't have a true name to anchor his own existence

                  The only reasons he is not able to pull it off without losing himself is because the author wants to nerf him and nothing more, the guy has been training since god knows when and has been affirming his identity for 3 whole years, which is another form of training, he even called himself an expert on the subject to cassie
                  If he was really incapable of doing it ,then hes shouldn't be able to use his shadow danse and yet he does

                  What was was that he should have learned a Real aerial form a long time ago and not that pathetic one
                  Sure he might not have been able to use it, according to the author period, but he should still have one, the crow escluded
                  Plus to call out on the author bulshit, he has 7 form or 6 cores and one body, each a part of his soul
                  What he does is modify his soul and his way of thinking to adapt a very particuliar style and a very particuliar form
                  The truth of it, is that each form has his own brain and form, kind of
                  So using one to fit a particular style and form and bringing him back should be easy peasy
                  He should be able to use his multiples brains to bring himself back from the said form, especially if it only concerns one brain and one part of his soul

                  Ele só tem 1 consciência, logo somente 1 cérebro, mas eu realmente queria ver um Sunny com asas negras tipo ele forma humana e um par ou quantos pares ele quiser nas costas. Sem seu nome verdadeiro ele não pode se aprofundar na dança das sombras, pois ele tem que literalmente virar aquela criatura que ele deseja "copiar", mas as formas "demônio de 4 braços, gigante" por exemplo foi ele mesmo quem fez a partir de si mesmo então ele não tem risco de se perder, o corvo não lembro, mas como era um eco talvez tenha sido mais fácil, mas o próprio Sunny fala que ele 'evita' se aprofundar nas suas cascas como Daeron por exemplo sem seu nome verdadeiro ele iria virar a besta sanguinária para sempre.
