      SHUT UP!! RAHHH!! Im assuming you care that Nephis is stronger and if you dont care, I DONT CARE!! Im still gonna ask about it cause its dumb. People complain all the time that Nephis is stronger, but why does that matter? Why does sunny have to be the strongest? I truly dont understand why people are so grumpy about it.

        The point is not about who is stronger it is about the fact that Sunny is not getting the results of his hard work and Nephis pretty much gets stronger without doing anything in this instance.

            ??? I don't get it. What do you mean, Nephis didn't work as hard as Sunny? Have we forgotten how she traversed the Dream Realm for months on end, all by herself, killing things she had no business killing, facing a Second Nightmare by herself? Yeah, for all intents and purposes she should have died several times over, but so should Sunny at this point. Why can't she just be powerful because, you know, she is?

              Can you compare the number of kill counts of Sunny and Nephis. Even Mordret and hers combined might not rival his. So yes, it's unfair that despite all his struggles, Nephis keeps receiving favoritism from author.

        It's easy to answer. Long read warning.

        Say, do you know why most people reading these light novels enjoy it? In my case, I enjoy it because I get to live different stories that I can never hope to be part of, through the main characters. Unless there's a very relatable side character, we subconsciously associate ourselves with the main character. This is how I journey through these stories.
        But some people take it further. They start to project their inner self on the main characters. They channel their desires, their frustrations and their dreams to the mc, and when something happens their own way, they feel genuine happiness.
        And thus is the reason why they want Sunless here to become the strongest. It's because they themselves want to become the strongest. And what happens when somebody else is slowly but steadily beating them to it? They hate it. Then they weave narratives which they start to believe against their subject of hate. This same thing is happening with Nephis. From an objective perspective, she's the one who's struggled the most throughout the story upto this point, much more so than Sunnless himself. But it's more convenient to forget this fact. Like in nature itself, they follow the path of the least energy to acquire the most optimal results. So they forget the looming truths and blatantly believe in their own skewed views. Anything that stands in their way, they hate. You must have noticed the way these people want Nephis to suffer, in equal way of how Sunny suffered in Antarctica. This is their only argument ever, that everything is being offered to her on a silver platter. She's getting stronger by simply breathing, they say. But we can try to apply the same logic at Kai or Effie. They've never hated these two, even if they've had relatively better lives more or less and are getting stronger with much heavy lifting from Sunny and Nephis. It's because they aren't in Sunny's way, and by extension, their way.

      I think you forget a very important thing. Regardless of her abilities, her flaw is a truly despicable one. Sure she might be strong but at what cost? Can you imagine suffering for hours/days while fighting. I’m pretty sure she would switch with Sunny’s abilities any day.
