Talent? Unnecessary! Wealth? Doesn’t matter! Brain? Eat it!

Even if one was the greatest of gutter trashes with zero redeemable qualities, as long as they had a System, they are bound to reach the pinnacle of life.

Compass Carburettor, a dirt-poor orphan with absolutely zero f**king qualities managed to reach the peak of the business world by the age of 35, all while relying on his Money-Making System like a blinded barnacle.

But at the peak of his life, he was betrayed by his System. Collapse

Don't read this. It is a beautiful dream that became a haunting nightmare.

I'll avoid spoiling as much as I can but there will be spoilers. I believe you need to know these things.

Essentially, the MC is a world hopper who struggled in each world he visited to harness its powers. Normally it's not possible to keep the powers unless through extremely lucky and unique events, but ofc the MC is that lucky, not much of a spoiler. However, whilst other books would look like plot armour, the way the situations in this book occur, it makes the MCs reward look very deserved instead of forced.

    It was a great book.

Unfortunately, somewhere around 400 chapters in, the MC split into about 4 people, each holding the powers of the world their persona was built in. Crazily enough, they're not in harmony at all. The MC can control them but they each have their own personalities and ideas, and they're not even the same gender. 2 of them are women. One of the incarnations ACTUALLY argued with the MC and another incarnation because of a disagreement in decision. But that's not the worse of it.

The worse thing about that situation is that the MC who had struggled all over the place to gain different powers, had been reduced to 1/4 of himself. His main powers focused on what he gained on earth, basically money magic. His other powers? They were pretty much given to the parasites incarnations. (Basically, if the MC had gone to a JoJo World and created a persona for himself called Billy, when the MC split into the incarnations, Billy would become a real person as part of the MC, and all the abilities the MC gained on the JoJo world would be given to Billy).

Ofc, the MC can fuse with them an use all those abilities again, but they don't really belong to him anymore. They belong to the parasites who have their own goals that don't necessarily align with the MC's.

Finally, the nail in the coffin: The MC's motivation was saving his daughter. When he achieved it, he didn't really care much about other things anymore. He started acting like a middle aged father taking his daughter on vacation. All the passion and fire he had before had basically been extinguished.

Just like that, the book was destroyed.

Wow, I was going to read it, I love the "clone/avatar" dynamic in an MC, it's fun, but what about this "independence"? Generally clones or avatars, although they have their "personas" they are obedient to the main body, how sad.

Have you read [My Alter Ego’s Path to Greatness]? The MC is someone who has the power to create avatars and the whole story revolves around that, but the clones are subservient, even though they have their sub-personalities, they never disobeyed a direct order or argued with the main body.

No in this the idea was that the System and his powers, their origin is thoughts. Naturally thoughts have their own emotions as well. So, because of the type of power he had, he might have ended up getting multiple-personality disorder which would be worse.

So he created clones, or its not exactly clones ig, but more like alter-bodies, who are all separate people, who live in a symbiotic fashion - even if one dies, as long as one of them lives, they can be revived. And one of them is capable of revival without the others i.e. even if all four are killed, that one will still revive, then revive the others.

The thing is, the mc's endgame is, its not his power, or anything that matters, he has a very wide range of abilities throughout the novel, but its always his mind and intellect that gives him the win.

Well, I didnt drop this, but like... I stopped somewhere in between cuz its not releasing anymore, idk why maybe author got into accident or smth? So I didnt wanna get even more into the story for no reason and then get to know that its dropped

Great read, lots of interesting developments and a constantly changing plot but quite a few nerfs. I’ve read up to 1095 (the latest chapter at time of writing), so I’ll keep the details vague even in spoilers as I know most people will not respect them.

Th chapters early chapters are introducing the MC, Compass carburettor (ignore the names, they are great characters and its wackiness kinda grows on you too), as well as basic understanding of what systems are/do.

Now I’ll go slightly more in depth of my understanding of the lore. I would heavily recommend that you read the novel now as this will be a slightly larger spoiler than the last one but still vague for you who refuse to head my warnings.

Now that’s essentially the first arc I think (it’s been a while) and
. From here on I’ll try to be brief.

I’ll leave it there as that’s about 600-700 chapters worth of vague spoilers. I won’t write more as it will need more detail and I don’t want to completely spoil this fantastic novel. It kept my interest for approximately 3 months (thought it was a lot longer) . This novel is certainly a diamond in rough of novels that have a quickly boring power system. To be honest I would feel great if I just read a novel full of a power gain of the opening arc as that was nice and slow. The author has their novel psychic parasite come into play as well as creating 2 spin-off novels from this as well. I want to emphasis the fact that the author comes up with each of the power systems which there are 8 of (if you include the system power system) each of which is unique. There also the plethora of various abilities harnessed not just by compass but of every named side-character as well.

I like the progression in the Nerfs aren't bad, as long as you keep all of the internal consistency of the logic of the story and the powers in check. The characters are good, but don't let your own personality and writing style be a replacement for theirs, remember to think outside the box as an author. Looking forward to more.
